Anyone 5'1 or so and about 135 lbs?
Are you happy with your weight? Cause this is me and I'm so unhappy with my weight but I can't seem to get any lower. I'm 33 and I eat as well as I can ( I do splurge now and then) and I workout. I don't know if I should keep trying to lose weight, or just try to be happy where I am. I'm in good shape and I'm strong, but I don't like the way I look. I feel so chubby, but I feel like no matter what I do I will feel chubby. WDYT? Does anyone else feel like this?

Ditto! I work my butt off in CrossFit, eat well, and in general take care of my health, but I recognize that I will probably never again reach the 120s or 100-teens. I am comfortable with knowing I workout hard and eat well and tend to not pay too much attention to the scale as long as my health doesn't suffer.

I'm 5'2 and I float between 120-135 usually. Who are you comparing yourself to? Some super hot chick on t.v.? I'm fairly happy with my body but I don't have the Sarah Jessica Parker arms I'd like or the super toned abs I see on bikini models. I also don't put in the time/effort they do and that's ok. I'm not paid to be attractive.
Maybe instead of looking in the mirror and picking at what doesn't look great, pick out what does look great. Your rack? Your legs?
Please don't feel like I'm being hard on you. I need to learn these lessons myself. We're in the same boat.

This. I know how you feel. It seems like nothing I do gets me below 135. I am trying very hard though. I think I am finally realizing that because I am so short...I will never have a tall and lean body. It's just not in my makeup; there was a reason my grandmom told me I had baby making hips...because they will always be there and won't ever go away.
I feel for you! I do! Just keep doing what you are doing and focus on what you do like about you. GL!

I'm 5"2 and weigh 125 pounds. I have parts of my body that I would like to lose weight ( especially my stomach, would love to have those nice abs you see on magazines !!), but I don't find it realistic. I eat healthy, work out 4-5 times a week and the lowest I go is 122lbs. I do not want to be "skinny" I want to be muscular, but I am in the same boat as you. I think being short makes it harder to have the lean body because we're not tall so it's harder to see that we are actually "lean". haha not sure if I am making sense here, but I understand you !
I watched an episode of X-Weighted once and the girl was 170 pounds 5"8. Her goal was to lose enough weight to be on a magazine. Well she did it, her weight was 149 pounds at the end. However, they showed how much work was put into doing this photoshoot... TONS of self-tanning spray, when it was time to take the pictures they made her suck in what she could of her stomach, and they even played around with the picture on the computer afterwards to remove any stretch marks, and any imperfections, needless to say, it wasn't really her in the front of that magazine, it was a computer "fixed" girl. It would be interesting to see what they all look like in person.. probably not as good as on the magazine.
I was that weight for a very, very long time. I was up to about 150lbs at my heaviest and with exercise alone, I got myself down to about 135lbs.
When I saw a RD I was able to shed the last 10lbs and have been about 125lbs for over a year now and well within my healthy weight range.
I am about 5'3" and 140+ pounds (give or take 2 lbs each way) and I feel great. *shrug*
I guess it's more about my body comp than my weight. I mean sure, I'd like to be lighter, but not at the cost of losing muscle. Yeah, I'm probably not tiny, but I never will be. I figure if I stay this way for 10+ years...I'll be considered the tiny one.
I understand how you feel. I'm 5'2" and was around 140 when I decided to get into shape for my wedding. I now hover between 120-125. I wasn't obese or anything, but when you're short, as you know, even a couple of extra pounds is really noticeable. I just didn't feel comfortable and didn't like how I looked.
I was able to lose about 20lbs by starting to exercise 5-6 days a week for 30-45 minutes, and really watching my calorie intake. I kept track on sparkpeople.com and it really helped me to realize how much I was really eating.
If you're uncomfortable with the way you look, you can change it, but you're going to need to work for it. Tracking cals was a drag at times, but it really did help.

I'm almost 5'1 and around 130lbs. Do I wish I weighed the 117lbs that I did when I got married 16 months ago? Most definitely. However, the time and money I put into getting to that weight was not something I could continue (working out for 3-4 hours a day, paying $200/week to work with an expensive trainer, etc.) I'm trying to get down to the mid 120s through diet and exercise (I did get super lazy after getting married and put on 10+lbs that way.) Although I'm not thrilled with my body, I appreciate all it can do - the crazy intense spinning classes I take, the amount of weight I can lift, the 5ks I am hoping to run, hopefully carrying a child one day, etc. My DH loves my body and gets extremely upset when I put it down, point out girls who are skinnier, etc. I wear a size small (sometimes even an extra small), a 4-6 in pants, etc. - I know a lot of people would kill to be that size.
Am I still going to continue to work out, challenge my body, and eat right? Of course. If I can make a change, that will be great. If I can maintain, at least I know I'm healthy and have a strong body.

At 5'4" and 140 lbs I feel a lot better than I did 8+ lbs ago. Am I skinny? No.
I still have chubby arms and I don't look good naked. I don't look bad fully clothed though.
About 5 years ago I got down to 132, and it was my best looking weight. I felt great, and even cheated every once in a while. I have a really small bone structure, and so I really shouldn't be even 140 lbs. I felt bad on a recent vacation where everyone was either older than me or older + had kids, and I was the biggest person there. I still wore a bikini, but was around friends only.
I too have medical issues that cause me to gain weight. I have noticed that since I have went on my medication to help with said medical issues, I easily dropped 8 lbs. I cannot seem to get below that 140 mark though. Sucks.
