reason# 439 not to do home renovations with mr. dumpling
HE IS NUCKING FUTS. geeze lousie. i wanted to throw a power drill at his head. we spent sat afternoon/night buying and installing insulation in my bathroom to be. all was fine and dandy until the use of a wall heater came into question and it was time to clean up. he starts hollering and carrying on.....no wonder our neighbors keep moving.....
i ended up showering, getting dressed and leaving my house at midnight. he is soooo lucky i suck at angry driving because i woulda been clear across the mason dixon line.
Do you and your partner work well together?
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.

Do you and your partner work well together?
Um, that would be a big fat "NO". If we can get through a project together and still be speaking to each other at the end of it, it's a miracle. That's why we try to do stuff separately and only work together if two hands are needed.
Always missing my Mommy (1954-2010) and Daddy (1943-2012)
TTC since 2009 ; BFP 9/13/10 = MC 10/21/10
DX = DOR/POA (AMH=1.1; AFC=4-5)
Surprise BFP 8/31/11 while waiting to cycle for IVF
Welcomed our little miracle 5/7/12
This is totally us too.
Bwahhahaha are we married to the same men? Oh and I'm down for ice cream...and Mr. Cone. Mmmm ice cream.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
no, we're not great working partners. we're better at dividing the labor (even if it means putting it all on one person) and splitting up and doing it ALONE.
we even suck at agreeing on who to hire, to avoid renovation fighting - lol! so now we each pick a project. he chose the window guys and it was bad. i'm choosing the landscaper and scaping for this year
and the other has little say past the budget agreement.
i pretty much take on all aesthetics...
ETA: we do work together when someone needs an extra set of hands, but it's not reallyw orking, it's helping. and then the extra hands are free to resume whatever they were doing before...
haha sorta similar... B is NOT handy what.so.ever so we have to always hire people to do almost everything. I get really mad when he won't even try to do something 'simple' but he has no confidence in that area so it provides less arguments between us to just let him be and have someone else do the dirty work.
For example we were out on a walk the other day and we got into it because I asked him to put up curtain rods and he said he couldn't but we can call 'handy harry' and I was like seriously? You put paintings on walls all the time but you won't do some curtain rods?? What is the difference?!
