Rec some fun stores in the Twin Cities

Girls shopping weekend coming up and need some recommendations for fun stores. I've been to the General Store in Minnetonka, that place is super fun. Any other recommendations for stores like that? I know about all the malls already, LOL

Re: Rec some fun stores in the Twin Cities

  • Patina is fantastic. I like the Highland Park location, when I go with my girlfriends we usually do lunch at The Chatterbox Pub or Highland Grille too.

I've heard good things about Mainstream Boutique. http://mainstreamboutique.com/

  • I second Patina also Bibelot Shops, Saks Off 5th, the Walker Art Center shop( Walker is free ever first saturday too), Anthropologie, Len is also very unique but maybe you consider that a mall store
  • I always like looking for new stores on this website. http://www.alishops.com/twincitiesstoresandshops.asp?sort=Gifts

  • I agree on Patina.  I think they are opening some new stores this fall as well!

If you don't mind a little drive, Stillwater has some fun stores and a fun winery/apple orchard you can stop at.

If you want clothes shopping, Hot Mama is a great place to find a new pair of perfect jeans (they have maternity and regular!).

  • If you like antiquing - there's several antique shops off of 50th & Xerxes - there's also a super cute vintage clothing store that I like to go to.

Bauer Brothers in Minneapolis - this is basically a salvage warehouse. Mostly house stuff (like construction materials, etc...) but they also have hidden treasures like antiques if you look hard enough.

I also agree with Patina. That is a fun place to shop! I drove by the location on 50th and it looks like they're starting to restock the store. I was really disappointed when it burned down, but really happy to see them re-opening!

50th & France in Edina also has a bunch of shops, plus restaurants for lunch.

Downtown Hopkins has several antique stores.

Yikes. I'm giving away all my home decor secret stores!!! LOL!
