Good shoe cobbler in Cincinnati area?

I just bought a pair of boots but the shaft area could be stretched out a bit. I have a cobbler that I really like at Harper's Point, but when I checked with him, he does not stretch the boots in the shaft. The boots were expensive so I would prefer to to go to someone you would recommend... Preferably in the Mason, W. Chester, or Bue Ash area (or near vicinity) would be great! Eta- sorry for the bad formatting, I am on the iPad.

  • I thought you ment fruit cobbler and I was going to suggest Aunt Flora's!  No idea on the boots, but let me know.  My family all has huge muscular calves & I cannot get boots to fit.  Knee socks & skinny jeans are a pain too.  You could return them & get a pair of wide shaft boots but most of the ones I've seen are either frumpy or cheap & trendy.  If I'm paying big $$ for some leather boots they better last me for a very long time!

I'm no help for a cobbler, but if you're looking for high-quality wide-shaft boots, I highly recommend Ros Hommerson. I bought these a couple of years ago and they are the best boots I've ever owned--also the most expensive shoes I've ever bought, but the comfort is well worth it. On the plus side, having big calves means I can't go overboard on the boot shopping, since they're expensive & I have to order online (rarely do I find anything in a local store that fits).

Thanks for the recommendation. I love the boots I purchased and my calves do fit in them but I just wished they were a bit tighter. I've heard good luck with shoe cobblers being able to stretch out Frye boots, but I don't want to take the boots to just any shoe repair place- would feel much better knowing it's a referral!

I hate shopping for boots since I know I can't fit into most of them due to my calves :( I was ecstatic when I found them b/c I had done a lot of shopping and online shopping and they had the right color and size.
