So, Blair is pregnant. I mean, I had assumed as much and I'm positive that it's Chuck's. I was a little thrown when Dorota said she was pregnant (is she really pregnant or was she covering?) but I'm glad they didn't leave it at that.
And Chuck! Dude....
Ah.

Re: Gossip Girl 09/26
I was really into this episode. Last season I got so bored with it, I'm glad they're working on redeeming themselves! I assumed Dorota was covering, but maybe she really is pregnant as well and doesn't know about Blair. I was bummed when she said it was her, I'm glad it came back to one of the girls.
I didn't even hate Serena this episode, amazing lol.
I liked this episode too. It was so nice to change it up and have some new scenery. I think it's Chuck's baby too. I wonder how this will play out though, babies in TV shows never fare well and kind of disappear into a black hole. I think Dorota is pregnant too. I would not rule out Serena being pregnant too. That would explain her 180 to approaching life, maybe?
I thought Elizabeth Hurley looked smoking and Dan looked adorable pining for Blair. I laughed at Rufus's skinny jeans.

I think Darota IS pregnant because the pregnancy test was there when summer had JUST began. If that was Blair's test she would be way more than 6 weeks or so pregnant. I do HOPE it's Chuck's but who knows there can be some weird chance it's Dan's or even *gag* the Prince's.
I thought Dan looked crappy. I hated his hair and scruffiness.
Rufus looked great.
It's awesome to finally see Serena happy.
Nate looked good and I don't even like him...loved his reaction when Liz told him "let's destroy it".
my read shelf:
This! I thought his hair looked so strange I kept getting really distracted by it.
Like everyone else said this episode kept my interest which is good because I was pretty close to dropping it.
I liked this episode too. I was getting bored last season. Elizabeth Hurley's character cracked me up.
Who was the guy that played Serena's supervisor? He looks really familiar.
Oh and I loved Blair's green and white dress. SO pretty!
Am I the only one who loves the Blair and prince storyline? I'm so nervous she's not going to go through with the wedding! I know most people want her back with Chuck, so that's the way the writers will probably go. But, I'd love to see Blair become a real princess plus I feel that the prince humbles her (so did Dan last season when their friendship was blossoming) and when she's with Chuck she's just mean spirited and always trying to tear people down with her scheming. (sp?)
I'm wondering if Dorota is actually pregnant too or if she was just covering for Blair. I didn't think Blair looked pregnant at all, since she's so thin and if' it's Chuck's baby wouldn't she be going into her 2nd trimester since the whole summer had supposedly gone by? Someone her size would definitely have a little bump or weight gain. She was stunning in that green dress! But I didn't catch why it wasn't appropriate for her to go to that event with the prince. Does anyone know?
Serena annoyed me in this episode as she usually does. I loved the comment when the guy basically told her off that he needs that job to pay things like rent, car payments, and student loans. Things a girl like Serena would never have to think about. Why would a billionaire's daughter be seeking a job that would put someone who needs it out of income and having her work long hard hours? It just doesn't seem realistic at all.
Dan's hair... oy Dan's hair. It's been annoying me for a few seasons now.. cut it already! Unfortunately, I still feel like Rufus' character is pointless, I really hope they give him a good storyline this season. I loved Rufus in the first and second seasons!
The best part was no Jenny and no Vanessa! :0)

I'm thinking Blair wouldn't be able to go to the event because she is not royalty just yet. Since it was at the UN I am guessing they have rules about that.
It was nice that Serena realized she shouldn't take the job from that guy but what does it matter if she has money already? She actually wants to work and do something she enjoys. If she was the type of girl that just sat around doing nothing all day, people would complain that she just lives off of her parents' money.
my read shelf:
Thanks for the clarification on Blair attending that event.
I completely understand about Serena working, it makes more sense now. I just thought it was unfair that she was taking the job from someone who really needs it whereas she doesn't.

I think Dorota is pregnant and doesn't have a clue about Blair.
I think Blair may "think" she's pregnant but actually isn't. Because she would show by now.
I like Blair and the Prince
I am not a fan of Chuck.
I would really like Serena and Nate to get back together !
This will be a very interesting season !!!
I can't decide if I liked last night or not.
I hated--HATED Chuck's motorcycle jacket--I know--it shouldn't distract me but it did! Was that thing suede or what? It was just gross. Also, weinie poppers on motorcycles are dumb, although I did love his new "Yes" philosophy on life. It was great.
I think I must be the only person in life who would run away with Penn Badgley, and loves Dan Humphrey. He needs a hair cut, but last night when he was willing to help Blair leave...I was so, so happy. I wanted him to just SAY it. Just say he loved her. She is forced with Louis and the storyline is always the same with Chuck.
Nate's part was funny...but he's kind of a Rufus for me--his role is sort of periphery and he seriously hasn't had a good storyline since he was homeless!
I thought the fashion was great. Blair's green and white dress, and even her vintage wedding dress were great; Serena's yellow and pink dress was also amazing, and so was her outfit at the end--and they weren't full on emphasizing her boobs which was nice
I'm glad they have gotten back to the basic characters though...no Jenny, and they could never figure out how to beef up Eric (who I sort of loved).
my read shelf:
So the + pregnancy test was from the beginning of the summer like early June right? Now its the end of summer, like August/September? There is no way Blair could be pregnant with Dan or Chuck's baby if she was only 6 weeks. She would have to be 12+ weeks.
I looooooooved all of Blair's dresses in this episode!
I love Dan!

Oh no. I was scrolling through this post shaking my head at the Dan hate. He is hottt. I don't hate his hair at all.
At 6 weeks pregnant, she wouldn't be showing. Maybe a tiny bit bloated but not showing, especially in normal Blair clothes because while they're structured, most aren't super fitted.
I didn't like this episode. I was bored halfway through it. I can't pinpoint why though.

Speaking of hair, I was not digging Blair's wavy do (outside of her being in a ball gown for the UN). The bangs looked like a mess and I don't associate Blair's character with a messy hairdo.
I'm surprised no one mentioned mentioned Serena's "cousin," Charlie/Ivy. I wonder how that will play out. Will Lily's sister be exposed or will the real Charlie step forward?
I can't remember exactly, but did Blair and Dan have sex last season? I know they kissed but last night's episode kept alluding to possibly more.
Blog: Call Me Imelda
I also didn't like Blair's hair last night...or the lipstick. Too harsh of a look for such a conservative girl like Blair.
I'm not too into the Charlie/Ivy thing yet.
All they ever showed was Dan and Blair kiss....but who knows what could have happened that we don't know about. She did after all sleep with Jack Bass at one point over a summer.
my read shelf:
I have never understood the Charlie/Ivy storyline and I love the name Ivy--it's ticking me off they are using it with such an annoying character that I don't understand!
Blair was wearing lipstick?
Yes, at the beginning of the show, she had a very bright red lipstick on. Not sure if she had it on with the dress. I doubt it.
The name Ivy reminds me of the girl I don't like on 90210.
my read shelf:
I adore Blair but I hated her bangs and lipstick. Her hair nice when it was to the side but that was it.
I can't stand Serena but she looked nice this episode. Dan needs a haircut, for sure. I love Chuck and Nate is so cute.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Ivy...
I'm SO glad that Jenny and Vanessa are gone.

I don't really get the significance of bring Charlie/Ivy back. I guess this means Serena will be staying in California even longer??
I love all the clothes both Blair and Serena were wearing--I think this was the first episode I can truly say that because usually there's a dud or two IMO.
I don't have a lot of thoughts on the guys from this episode. I will say I'm intrigued for the season but I had low expectations going into it.
I think Dorota is pregnant and knows nothing about Blair's pregnancy. I think the writers wrote that in to try to trick the viewers earlier in the episode that it wasn't Blair or Serena.
TV time does not equal real time. That could have been Blair's pregnancy test at the end of the last episode. Why would Dorota have taken a pregnancy test in Blair's bathroom and then thrown it away there? Of course, why would Blair have thrown it away in there if it was a secret? Actually, who cares, it's tv!
I'm pretty sure that Serena's boss was played by Michael Rady. He was in the new Melrose Place (Jonah) and Swingtown. It's not on IMDB yet but I know that sometimes they don't have the full cast of the show up until awhile after it airs.
I definitely don't think it is Michael Rady. They look similar but I don't think that's him.
ETA - This was driving me crazy! So I spent forever trying to google and got nothing and then I realized that they might not have it listed on IMDB for last night's episode but he was also in the finale in May. And I found it!
It is Ethan Peck! He played Patrick Verona on 10 Things I Hate About You when ABC Family redid it a few years ago.
