Ugh work vent

This is going to be long.

I asked my boss if I could go from being a rep to just the supervisor of the rep assistants, and just do hearing file review (basically what I did before and was doing on maternity leave).  I understood there would be a drop in pay, but I assumed it would be what I was making before I got my last promotion. Makes sense right? Same job-same pay. I also agreed to work in the office if my hours could be 7:30-4 instead of 8-4:30 because daycare closes at 5 and I couldn't get there in 30 min since the office is 45 min away. Our sitter is willing to have Emily late every now and then, but not every day.

So my boss comes back to me a week later saying sure, but we're dropping your salary by $12K and no, you have to work regular hours. When I asked her if we can compromise since that's a huge drop and the hours just don't work for me, she said ok then you can work from home for another $5K less. WTH? That's not a compromise! Then she basically wouldn't answer my phone calls or emails, she just said to go through our HR lady.

So I talked to her this morning to find out A) why the pay would be lower than when I was doing this last year even though I'd be supervising people, B) is the rep job still on the table or no?, and C) what happens to my non-compete clause, and D) why do they think they can pay me less and expect the same amount of work from me as before? She kept saying "Well I wasn't here before, and I don't know what type of deal you had worked out then." Dude, I'm telling you now! You can look up my old salary!

She basically told me that the salary is so much lower because I'd be supervising less people than the other supervisors who make around that amount. Like I freaking care what they make! And I know that's not true, I know exactly what they make because our old (deceased) CEO was an over-sharer.

So I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I've applied for 4 other jobs today and I'm hoping one of those works out. Even if the pay is way lower, this company is so toxic that I need to get out.
