It seems like hair is just bad on tv this year. Hattie and Amber on Parenthood are great examples of terrible tv hair.
Thank you! And haven't they been dressing her in a lot of plaid? It really doesn't help the hair.
She and Lily did both recently have babies, so maybe their hair was just really effected by their pregnancies. They have stylists though, so I'm not sure they can use pregnancy/post partum hair as an excuse

Robin's hair looks crimped!
Thank you to whoever explained that they both had babies recently. I was trying to figure out why Lilly looked fat. I also thought I had heard that Robin was pregnant in real life right now.... guess I was off!
I think (this is just a silly theory) that they are trying to make Robin look a little dowdy for her lovesick story line this season - hence the awful hair and clothes in the wrong colors for her.
When she was all dolled up for the wedding scene with Ted, she looked amazing though!
I commented on Robin's hair last week to DH. The cut and style is not flattering to her face at all.
I feel like the stylists for the show are attempting to make Lilly look pregnant already, hence the reason for her not looking as good as previous seasons.
Both actresses gave birth well over 2 years ago. I don't recall their hair being this bad in previous seasons, so I don't buy that excuse. I don't know why their hair is so off this year though.

I think the reason they have such distinct hair in each season is because it makes it easier to tell the time frame for the flash backs.
Robin looked good with Ted at the party, but, awful with that shirt and that hair. Lily's hair was also bad as was her weird and unflattering sweater. The episode as a whole was HILARIOUS.
