Okay, why did they bring Victoria back just to bring Robin back in the picture? Or am I just really confused? Were they insinuating that Ted still has feelings for Robin?

Re: HIMYM vent
I think that show would be called HIMYFather so....
LOL That was a typo
I fixed it.
If it helps, they've said in a couple interviews on TV Line that they only have about 2 seasons left after this.
I think they were just hinting that something needs to change the dynamic of their little group, so that all of them can move forward.
I really want Barney to end up with Nora.
Agree and agree.
I really liked last night's episode. I loved that Victoria came back, even if it wasn't for an obvious reason (like them getting back together). I think we'll see a lot of that in the next couple of seasons (we all know the slutty pumpkin is coming soon too).
I really liked how Robin kept going back to Ted's story at the resturaunt, it cracked me up!
I always like how they leave us hanging... Robin being the mother isn't a choice, but how is the Ted, Robin, Barney triangle going to end up if it's going to change from what it is now?! Ugh, LOVE this show!
She already went to Argentina and Japan though. I don't think they'll boot Robin. I don't know if I want Barney and Robin to get married, but I don't feel it with Barney and Nora.
I don't think that Victoria and Klaus are going to get engaged. If they were really going to get married then I think that they would've already been engaged by the time she ran into Ted. I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back in the future and wants to get back together with Ted, but we'll see.
I don't think that Ted is really in love with Robin or vice versa. I *do* think that Victoria's statement is going to make him rethink living with Robin or canceling the agreement to marry at age 40, though. And I think that Ted's going to realize that the mother is The One once he realizes that she means more to him than Robin, because it seems like up until this point Robin has been his ideal woman and best relationship. The mother's qualities have to blow Robin's out of the water.
I also think that Victoria's statement about Robin being a big part of his world is foreshadowing that Robin is going to play an important role in how Ted meets the mother (and doesn't that go back to the pilot episode and a few others where he says that Robin was really important to the story?). Whether she introduces them or what, I can't guess.
I will not apologize for saying I am over the show. Plenty of other posters on other threads talk about how they are over shows. This show will be over after next year. It is so unrealistic. At least Friends was a sign of the times.
To me, your argument is like the one in the Pan Am thread about how Pan Am is a rip off of Mad Men because they're set in the same time period. It's just silly to me. Every show about a group of friends and how they interact with each other is not a rip-off of one single show. If anything, everything is a repeat of an idea or story structure from another show/movie/book/short story/play/whatever. That's just how it is.
I could easily say Friends was a rip-off of Seinfeld. Or that Modern Family is a rip-off of Everybody Loves Raymond which is a ripoff of All in the Family. It's annoying for you to say "I don't like this show because it's not Friends." Say it feels forced or it doesn't connect with you, but IMO the argument that it's not identical to another show is stupid.
And how is it any more unrealistic than Monica and Chandler's surrogate mom not knowing she was carrying twins when she was getting regular health care? Or that they had a wedding in a snowstorm? TV is unrealistic, that's part of what makes it good. Look at CSI. Completely unrealistic, but it's got how many spin-offs and it's been on for how long?
Um, you can only use quotes for stuff people actually say and write.
Like I stated "Plenty of other posters on other threads talk about how they are over shows. " So.....people talk and discuss why they are over things all the time. No one asked me to apologize, it's a figure of speech.
:::Sigh:::
Not sure why this particular thread is getting upset that someone stated they were over the show bc it is cliquey. As stated, plenty of other threads have posts that state basically the same thing.
Ok, I am not posting anymore on this-you obviously don't get what what I'm trying to say, which is that people can post about shows they are over....now, it is not about that, but you telling me to get over it. Which I never told anyone on here to get over HYMIM. Just saying I was. So, who cares? I am not defaming anyone else's opinion.
