i'm REALLY liking this show!!
i can't figure out the mom-bunny or whatever (cant think of her name) is she out to get maureen or does she like her? jealous of her?
also- do you think nick and maureen are going to hook up?
so, to clarify- nick was the guy in the mob that would help "fix" everything?

nick is the guy who's running for office, who also runs the club. and the mom-bunny's husband.
she thinks nick and maureen hooked up, because maureen was at his apartment in one of his shirts....AFTER they killed the mob guy and dumped him in the river.

I think the one bunny was spot on when she said that Carol-Lynne is threatened by Maureen. Carol-Lynne made a comment about her age and that's why she pushed to be the bunny-mother, so I think she views Maureen as the younger version of herself and is threatened by that.
I'm sure at some point Nick and Maureen will hook-up.
And yeah- Nick was the guy who use to "fix" things before he got out of the mob scene.
I am new to this board, but decided to join in because I am loving a lot of the new fall shows.
I am really enjoying The Playboy Club.
Being a lesbian, I am fascinated by the fact that Alice is a lesbian and her husband is gay and they are leading a secret double life.
I like Maureen, but I think I like Carol-Lynne better.

I am loving this show. Just watched episode 2 on DVR.
The only thing that bugs me is why Maureen is on everyone's radar just for dancing with the MIA mob guy for a few seconds the night he vanished. She's been cornered by his son and the other guy that works for him as if she just has to know what happened. Of course she does (LOL) but they shouldn't think so just because she danced with him.
Anyway, I like the way they got into the plot quickly but they can still go someplace with it and keep us interested (hopefully).
Plus (not a lesbian) but can happily admit that I don't mind a cute girl (or 2) in a bunny costume!

I think you have a few of the bunnies mixed up.
The pink bunny is the one that is secretly married & doesn't want her husband to find her, her name is Janie.
Maureen was originally the light blue bunny. She is the one that killed the mob guy when he attacked her in the back of the club. The only other person that knows about the murder is Nick Dalton, he helped her get rid of the body in the river. In this episode they dyed her uniform because it was blood stained & now she is the scarlett bunny.
Nick doesn't run the club, Billy does. Nick is an attorney & a regular at the club. He isn't married to the bunny mother Carol-Lynne they are just dating.
I think Maureen is dumb and after the last episode I have a hard time liking her at all. I know the show takes place in early 1960's long before all the fancy DNA and CSI stuff, but I can't believe she kept her blood stained bunny outfit and the guy she killed playboy club member key! The key that apparently can be linked directly to the guy she killed. I can't believe that Nick wouldn't have suggested she get rid of it since he used to the "fixer" in the mob.
I'm sure at some point Nick and Maureen will hook up.
I think Carol Lynn has mixed emotions about Maureen. I think she is jealous but also sees a lot of herself in Maureen. Carol Lynn also seems very dedicated to the Playboy image and very ambitious so I'm sure she doesn't want to do anything that would tarnish that image as well or reflect poorly on her.
I think Carolann was ready to forgive Maureen when she heard the story about the homeless guy attack (her cover for the blood) but then she saw Nick chatting to her in the dressing room and she concluded that Maureen was out to steal her man. (looked that way to her = and to me really) so then she fell to the bottom of the pile again.
Also Carolann is getting older and Maureen is the new face of the youth,etc. Jealousy, etc.
My fave storyline is the lesbian and gay guy. I just think that is really unique story.
To hide it. If they somehow are able to search her room/stuff the last place they'd look is under a bunch of cream

The yellow bunny is married too, but its a cover up for the fact that both she and her husband are gay. I'm guessing because his family is overbearing and wants grandkids that they got married.
I like the show. It didn't get very good reviews in several entertainment magazines but I think I like it a little better than Pan Am right now, which got glowing reviews.
Alice (purple bunny) is the one that is married & gay.
The yellow bunny is Brenda, I don't think she's married. She shares a room with Maureen.
Thanks. For some reason I thought Alice was yellow. With them changing to deeper colors, red, blue, ect I'm confused.
