THIS IS KILLING ME

:::Picture overly dramatic Pookie with the back of her hand on her forehead:::

A coworker has on some seriously strong vanilla perfume or lotion.  I am about to die.

  • Gross :( Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking wearing stuff like that. I really think that perfume is soon going to become passe.
  • Eww. That would drive me insane.

I really wish the entire perfume industry would just go out of business.  But I have to be realistic.  Not going to happen :(

  • I wear perfume but I make a point of going really light and it's not a strong smelling perfume at all. I've got terrible allergies and I can't even be around my mom or sister when they first out theirs on because there is something in it that gives me a vicious headache. It's possible mine would bother someone else but I have no way to know for sure.

What really bugs the crap out of me is people who spray perfume in enclosed spaces or the people who come to the allergist's office with a ton of perfume on. I mean, really? Thanks for the asthma attack ***. Especially at the allergist...you would think they'd know better. There is even a sign. I don't wear any the days that I know I'm going to be there out of courtesy to others but most people just don't give a ***.

  • I just had to add my own. When we were in Italy, flying to/from the States while pregnant/nursing gave me nightmares because of the stupid duty-free sales because they always had to test the perfumes on a frickin' closed airplane with recirculated air! Argh!

And yeah, I'm a bit sensitive to it because of allergies as well.

  • When I was in middle school, some of my friends made fun of me for smelling bad once. It was very traumatic for 12 year old me and I overcompensated with Bath & Body Works Sun Ripened Raspberry spray for years. Luckily, I have since learned the error of my ways. I can't stand the raspberry scents now though because they bring back such bad memories.
  • I used to be able to wear fancy perfumes, like Sunflowers, but I can't wear anything scented anymore, other than deodorant.
