Just to cheer myself up from my last post, please share your good news.
I get to continue with my German classes this year.
When I was visiting my parents last week, I came across a bucket list that I made when I was like 12. I am happy to report that I only have two items left to do on the list.
Re: Good News Wed.
I got a few late birthday cards in the post yesterday, including one with an Amazon gift card. So I'm going shopping.
The weather in London is actually properly nice this week--blue skies and sunny. The BBC forecast shows the next three days as sunny, a forecast I don't recall ever seeing before in London.
Just found out I get a discount on the Degas exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts (the ballet series) through work. Score.
And I get to leave for the States in just a little over a week--so excited!
My good news, lame though it is:
My birthday present package arrived yesterday (exactly a month after my birthday) and I have been watching The Penguins of Madagascar since.
Also in the package was my wedding album (finally!!! only a year and 8 months after my civil ceremony) so we went over to DH's parents tonight to share the pictures with them.
I'm loving the weather in London, and that it's supposed to continue through the weekend!
I think that's all I got today.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
- Lucy is becoming a super awesome dog and H loves her to bits (though he still denies it)
- The weather is UH-MAZING!
- I go on vacation and have a Dubai GTG in a week and a half!!!
Wedding stuff.
The weather is fantastic -- that always puts me in a good mood.
I don't have a lot, for some reason today I am really feeling hopeful about trying to start a family. I hope that will mean really good news soon!
Yep, the weather in England could not be any better. Loving it!!
I have my energy up during this part of pregnancy and it feels great.
I have a full social life again, being back from Korea.
FI is frequent flier mile obsessed, and it actually has come to good use! He figured out that we can add a stopover to our flights from London to Baltimore next summer for our wedding without any additional miles or cost, so we booked our tickets with a quick (4 day) mini-honeymoon to San Francisco.
I'm really excited to get to plan what we do while there. For a while, I wasn't sure if we'd even have time for a honeymoon at all, but it looks like it's going to work out!
I missed that you were doing this! Glad it went well. What was the surgery for (if you don't mind my asking)?
Yay! I've been thinking of you recently
LadyMadrid, I found a lump a few weeks ago and they wanted to take it out just to be sure. The doctor said it's normal breast tissue, so it's nothing to worry about. Just some weird change that must have been happening. They say there's always changes going on in breasts (which I assume is what makes it more vulnerable).
Thanks for the thoughts, MintChoco!
I'm so happy to hear that everything turned out well, ebartzen. That's fantastic news.
Good news ebartzen! Happy to hear you're ok!
My good news, its warm and sunny out for the rest of the week and DH and I are spending the weekend at his parent's country house in France. It will be fabulous.
Thanks, guys!
