Re: question about carryon

  • don't struggle with it, and noone will know since they don't ever touch your carry on Wink

i think i've heard 25 before...but i'm also pretty sure it varies by airline. what airline?

  • Alaska allows one carry on bag that's up to 25 pounds, and a second carry on "personal item", like a purse, laptop bag, etc.

  • I want to say it's technically 25 pounds, but I fly carry-on all the time (never check bags) and I've never had someone check.

    thanks jenn & emy.

so they don't even test to make sure that it fits the measurements? because mine is like EXACTLY the max size... yikes. so no one will check it? i obviously don't fly that often so i'm worried.

i thought you had to give all bags to the people so they could tell you if it worked or not.. so i should just pack my crap in and not worry? right now it is 23lbs. lol.

only if it's questionable in size they will make you try to fit it in the frame that is the acceptable size. weight has never-ever been questioned for me for carryon.

Are you planning on bringing anything home? You should check on the way home for sure if you are.

The thing that irks me off about carry ons is that if it's too heavy the stewardess can't help you hoist it up in to the bins. That's always my problem.

lol, i've been practicing my hoisting. yes i'm planning on bringing stuff home and possibly checking if i have to. i've fit a smaller carryon type thing inside my luggage so i can check and have a backpack too. :)
