Just wanted to share
If all goes well we should be closing next week. It's weird, we never had a closing date to start with. We're purchasing a home from a family member and everything has been smooth. Our LO said we're just waiting for our insurance company to call them and we'll be pretty much set! So excited!!!

Actually we're not..*so ashamed*. Since we never knew the closing date DH didn't want to get all excited and started packing (even though I've been telling him we need to pack). Also, we rent from another family member and will have to pay that next week (prior to the closing) so he figured we'll move in slow and fix the items we want in the new place before moving in. I'd rather just go but I understand his POV.
first, CONGRATS!! Whoo hoo!
Second, I understand your DH--although you probably weren't at risk for the deal falling through b/c it's family, I can understand wanting to wait to pack until it is really certain. My DH wanted to wait until we were 100% certain and I wanted to start early...well, I did start early, things fell through, and un-packing back into your apartment really sucks. So I think you are doing the right thing
