Clicky: is this enough food? ETA: FU included at top of post
FU: I took away the clicky since I have a resolution now. Here's the final menu:
salad
meatball sammiches with sauteed peppers and onion
mudpuddle's tortellini soup (no italian sausage)
amanda's nutella pillow pocket things
Thanks for all of your help, ladies!

i've never felt as if soup was enough of a main course... even with salad and bread. unless it was lunch/all you can eat soup/salad/breadsticks at olive garden. that's the only time soup is enough!
but i'm also a fatty. so take what i say with a grain of salt.

This. I think adding a side (preferably fruit) would be great.

This.
I agree with this. I might be filled with the original menu, but probably not satisfied.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
This. Changing to sandwich or adding an app would probably make it enough to fill anyone up.
the soup does have sausage in it though, so it already has meat. Also, when I said fruit, I guess I was thinking it would be served with dessert.

Gah! What kind of sammiches do I make then?
I have 1 hour between the time that I get home till the time that they come over. I have zero extra food in the house, so I'd need to run to the grocery store.
ETA: I can do grilled cheese with the baguettes and cheddar. Will that work?
some fancy bread..spread with garlic butter. toast the bread lightly. saute some onions and bell pepper....regular sandwich meat heated on the stove top with a little bit of oil..stack it all together with a slice of cheese (or not) and bake.

Fancy grilled cheese?
I don't think you need sandwiches - I mean, you know them, are they super big eaters? Even so, my H eats a lot and I made a tortellini soup the other night (no sausage) and it was filling.

She's not, but I've seen him pack away some impressive amounts of food.
