Fabric Shopping Online is Addictive

Help me: I have a problem.
I was so impressed with myself because I figured out that I could use 3 charm packs of Terrain instead of buying a whole fat eighth set to get enough fabric for a quilt I am making for my friend. Thereby saving myself $35. I then turned around and added $40 worth of other fabrics that I don't need for any reason whatsoever but that I have been loving them from a distance, to my cart (Prince Charming & Heirloom collections).
Now I'm out an additional $5 but I have more fabric that I like and less fabric that my friend likes so that's better right? Right?
It's too late to go back now but I'm trying to qualify this purchase.
Anybody else want to join Fabric Over-purchaser's Anonymous?

I totally know what you mean! I own way too much fabric than I should (which I know isn't nearly enough to be considered a stash compared to some bloggers I've seen), but to me, I keep thinking I need to make things with this fabric before I buy anymore! It's so hard to resist buying more fabric when there are so many cute lines coming out...ugh, my poor wallet.

This most recent binge is thanks to Sew Fresh Fabrics on Etsy. The Fat Quarter Shop sold out of all of the charm packs and layer cakes of the Kate Spain Terrain line super fast. And I'd given my friend a few choices for her wedding quilt and she liked that fabric line the best.
I'm in Canada and my LQS is pretty traditional in terms of the lines they carry, (way too much batiks for my taste as well) so I've been buying the lines that I like usually in Fat Quarter Bundles. Sew Fresh Fabrics is on Etsy so it is as well organized as any Etsy shop can be. Actually better than a lot of them since she does have categories.
I need to do more stash building with simple primary colours with colour/white or monotone fabrics though. I have another set of friends getting married next year and I want to make them the Tokyo Subway Map Quilt so badly. It's such a scrappy quilt though and I don't have anywhere near enough stash to support it. I'm not sure how I'm going to get around that little problem...

Um, I did a modified quilt like this and I just bought 8 prints of the same color that I liked for each of the lines. Is that bad? I didn't have near enough scrap to do it from that, so I just bought bunches of fabric instead. You know, in case you needed to fuel the addiction.
As you can see from my quilting methodology above, and possibly from my post a few down (new storage unit for fabric), I clearly have a fabric buying problem. I buy it online, I buy it in stores, I swap it with friends. I just like being able to imagine something and pull out what I need at home.
Stand up for something you believe in.
