photographers - favorite camera bags - bonus pts for style
what are your faves? I remember Jax posted a cool brand on here about a year ago but I didn't save it.

I use a big black ugly thing (but it works). Here are a few...

i had a Jill-e and the dang handles broke!
I actually just blogged about my kelly moore bag this morning:

and i also hear good things about http://www.epiphaniebags.com/
I also have the Rose... i'm not a "photographer" but I love the bag. Its big enough to take my camera and a second lens and still have room for my wallet, keys, essentials so I can make it my purse. I've even been able to fit my camera (one lens) with my necessities and a few diapers/wipes for C when I needed to take him somewhere and really only wanted one bag.
Thanks so far ladies!
I was looking at the jototes too - they are so cute! But I want something I can use at Disney as well as when not there.
For those rose totes - are the handle buckles secure enough to add a clip-on strap to wear it messenger-bag style just for disney?

yes, it comes with a long strap so you can wear it like a messenger

Oh my gosh between these and the kellymoore bags my blood pressure is up - they are awesome!!

it's a great bag! I got it before Christmas last year and it has been my diaper bag/purse since.
i think i will take the gold in any contest where the winner has bought the most camera bags, yet uses the fewest..lol.
here is my camera bag russian novel:
go somewhere you can try before you buy. a lot of those bags are cute cute cute, but then you pick it up and feel it and it's cheap cheap cheap because they have used crappy pleather. i wish more of these lines would make an actual LEATHER bag.
i have a jill-e rolling bag that i paid waaaay too much for and i will never by that brand again! for something you should be able to roll around, it is disappointing (not well constructed, wrong materials used where the bag will likely come in contact with curbs, the ground, etc). it is also forever falling over forward because they didn't balance it well.
it's also very mom-looking. but i have yet to find a better alternative for carry-on that rolls and also fits my laptop, 2 bodies, and 3-4 lenses. sooo....
my faaaavorite one-body, couple-o-lenses bag is a lowepro sling bag that i think kreeper also has. it's crossbody, easy-in and easy-out, no annoying flaps or straps to fight with when you want easy access. google "lowepro passport sling".
what i love about it is that it has eleventy billion outside pockets, and on the side, the cone compartment zips out to accommodate a lot if you need it to. i bought mine at best buy.
it's what i usually take with me if i'm traveling because it looks a little pursey, but acts like a grownup camera bag. and it isn't too big.
bags with handley-straps or a big front flap are cute, but i have found them to be less than functional, in all honesty, when i am on the go and needing to change a lens or get into a bag. if you're standing up somewhere and need to change a lens, you have to hold your camera in one hand and grab the lens with the other hand. if there's nowhere to set the bag, this is near impossible unless you have a crossbody strap. regular shoulder straps tend to pull my shirt to the side, fall down and take my bra with them, or make my back hurt after a long day.
something with a simple zipper closure (to keep everything safe and sound) and a crossbody strap will be your BFF for a trip like disney. you can still ride rides, and be hands-free if you need to. unlike a backpack, it can still be secured in front of you on a ride.
