Clicky poll: PG ladies in bikinis

Re: Clicky poll: PG ladies in bikinis

  • I voted love it, b/c I think it's stinkin cute.  I wore one to the beach last month.  I personally probably wouldn't wear one if my belly was full of stretch marks, but I say if you're comfortable....rock it!
  • I just happened to be looking at a recipe on this blog right now.  Pregnant belly in a bikini on her blog header.  http://formamas.blogspot.com/

  • It doesn't bother me. I think of a girl is comfortable enough to wear a bikini pre-pg then why not wear one during?

  • Absolutely. It's the only time in my life the skin on my stomach will be firm. lol
  • I personally wouldn't. I bought a tankini when I got pregnant. But if someone else wants to, I wouldn't judge,

  • If you don't mind putting your bump out there in all its potentially stretch-marked glory, more power to you. Maternity bathing suits are almost always fug and aren't easy to buy since you don't know how big you'll be. Plus they're expensive for a one time deal. Might as well go tiny, right?

That's an awesome pic. She looks amazing.

  • I don't think I would wear one (I've never worn one before, so I doubt I would start then), but on other ppl I think it's really cute.

  • Also, there are 16 votes so far. Hello? Who's there? If 16+ people actively posted this board wouldn't be so slow.

  • I probably wouldn't wear one that shows my stomach in all its pregnant glory, but I don't look down upon anyone who wants to.  There are plenty of non-pregnant women that I don't want to see in a bikini, so it really doesn't matter what your stomach looks like.

I have a maternity tankini, but it's a halter neck and I can't wear those anymore without getting a massive brain wrecking headache, so I'll likely be sticking with one pieces from now on ...

  • I say if you're comfortable, go for it. I've seen tons of pregnant women in bikinis that looked fabulous. I can't say for sure if I would or wouldn't but I lean toward the likelihood that I'd go for the bikini.

  • I'm really surprised but happy at the voting results.

I wore a bikini in Cali in my parents' backyard and was toying with the idea of wearing one out in public this weekend.  I have a couple of maternity tankinis but all the extra fabric is soooo uncomfortable.  They're the loose type, to DP's point of not knowing how big you'll be, and the fabric on the top rides up in the water anyway.

Go for it! I think it's great to have that kind of confidence and I hate that there are judgemental people that would make someone think twice about doing this.

I feel like this needs to be followed by/a sassy little snap. I did it for you when I read it.

  • haha!  Thanks, everyone.
  • I voted for Love it.  I sported a bikini the entire time I was PG.  I even went to the beach down in Tampa with friends and wore it at 35 weeks.  That reminds me that I need to ask my friend for a copy of that picture she took of me at the beach.

  • I need a special snowflake option. There are some pregnant women who can pull it off and some who can't. Just like non-pregnant women.
