Last Thursday we went to the surgeon for a check up.
Best News: HE GREW A BONE! it is small but he has one in his pointer finger. So the chances of separation later in life is very possible! He is clear for another year, and we'll go back for more xrays.
They gave us a script for PT now since OT isn't covered by my insurance. So yesterday I went on GHI's website and called every PT in a 30 miles radius. NO ONE does pediatric therapy. Or if they do its for the early intervention children who qualified. Or out of pocket which going rates seem to be $120 for 1 hour of service and I would have to drive around 45 minutes away. Anyone have any recommendations or know of someone?
The doctors were pleased how he used the fused fingers, where most kids ignore and skip over them, so with proper therapy, the bone growth he is a candidate for the separation and we want him to remain one.
Re: PT/OT needed... Jack update
Glad to hear he grew a bone and is making good progress!
I don't have any PT/OT recs, but I hope you find someone soon.
