topic: brag on your kid, pet or DH's latest great thing
what remarkable, funny, endearing, or other noteworthy thing has your loved one done lately?

Re: topic: brag on your kid, pet or DH's latest great thing
A funny story as told to me by MIL.
Friday night the girls all stayed with MIL. Here is how a conversation went after Tori had a shower.
Tori: Mimi, when I grow up will I have big boobies like you?
MIL: I don't know. Maybe.
Tori: If I do will they hang to my belly button like yours?
MIL: /dead
[giggle]
When my cousin was little, she use to wish she would get boobies big enough to drag on the ground. She was a strange child. She ended up flatter than a board, by the way.
Maddie is rockin' the gymnastics classes. She told me after class last night, "Mommy, I wish every day could be Monday." I never thought I'd hear anyone say that, except people whose weekends are Monday/Tuesday, lol.
After just a few classes she is doing really really well. I am tempted to inquire about a twice/week program but I don't want to overwhelm her.
DH has been super helpful around the house lately. Especially with the dishes, which I despise.

Owen has been staying awake more and more and I love it! He smiles all the time and I love watching him track toys, fans, people. And he is growing like a champ!

So awesome!!!
So Tasty, So Yummy
DS-he is just the most loving kid. He loves to give everyone he meets hugs and kisses. Grandma(who keeps him during the day) has taught him how to count to 10, say some of his colors, and started singing the alphabet to e. I am very proud of him.
DH-he is a great dad and holds this family together. He is also great at keeping me calm and letting me know that he has my back. I love him!
SS-he is great with his little brother and takes time to play with him after he gets home from school.
Hannah swam unassisted yesterday for the first time!! It was only about 2 feet, but she did awesome!! I am so proud of her. It's so funny how they just suddenly "get" it.
DH had a great check-up with his cardiologist after having 3 stents put in his heart recently. He's lost 16 lbs., his cholesterol and blood pressure levels are much improved, and he passed his stress test with flying colors!
Sam is really flourishing in 1st grade. He has trouble at times adjusting to the new after-school routine of finishing homework before he can play, but he really enjoys that they're doing more learning and less play than they did in Kindergarten. It seems to have helped his behavior a lot. Yay!
We still haven't had much luck with naps. :-/ We have been laying with him or rockign him to sleep - but not sure if I want to continue it or skip the nap all together on the weekends. Boo!
Audric got 24 points on the PELD transplant scoring! Good score!
He is working on walking and is literally saying a new word almost every week.
My husband is great and an awesome partner and father!
DS loves his big boy bed and has now slept in it 2 nights in a row
DS has FINALLY started saying "thank you" a.k.a. "aks"
DD turned 7 on Monday. I still can't believe she's that old. She is doing great in 2nd grade, the lowest grade she's brought home has been a 92. Most of them are 100-102. She is actually pretty good at soccer which I wouldn't have guessed and it's so fun to watch her play.
DS is starting to say animal sounds and lots of other words, although most only I can understand.
He loves books and thinks every board book is Brown Bear. He will bring any book to me and say over and over "Bru Ba, Bru Ba" until I read it. He was an early crawler at 6 months but still has no interest in walking. He listed to him Mommy when I said he wasn't allowed to be an early walker too! Haha. He stands and has taken 5 steps at most but would rather just crawl to get there faster.
DH is super Dad and super hubby, I couldn't do it without him. He kept Collin all day Friday and also had Abbie after school so that I could have a day/night off and I got to stay in Houston and go to The Palm with my office. It was great!

i dont have a DH, a child, or a pet?
BUT my kid brother helped a stranded lady with an infant out in the heat today. made me proud
so i'll brag about him.
DH: did all the prep work for bunco last night and took the kids out for the night and had them in bed because I ended up cackling outside with the girls for almost 2 hours after everyone "left".
Kids: They are just awesome. Love them.
My DH has lost a lot of weight since December. When he went into the doctor back then he was to heavy for them to weigh him. Last week he had to go in because he needed more blood pressure meds and he wasn't feeling well. Come to find out they were able to weigh him this time around because he has lost a lot. I'm really proud of because I know it's been hard.
Thanks
So cute! Go C!
