I had an interview with a company today and they said they are doing 2 rounds of interviews. I am crossing my fingers that I get called for a second interview.
BF said that if I do go for a second interview, I can wear the same suit (with a different shirt underneath). I said that is tacky and I should wear a different suit. FWIW, I really own only 1 suit. So....what do you think? Same suit or different?

My pin striped suit has a small bit of color in it. I have worn it with black, blue, white or something in the same family. Gray also worked.
There is nothing wrong with wearing the same suit. I too only own one.
When I interview and hire, I don't care if the applicant wears different suits on different days. I like them to wear suits to show they know how to dress appropriately, fit in and understand business rules but having a large closet of interview clothing is not necessary. I doubt that I could recall what each applicant wore a few days after the interview unless it was egregious, such as the guy who wore a dark suit, nice tie, cufflinks, nice shirt, polished shoes and white gym socks.
Wear the suit with a different color shirt and accessories and you will be fine.
Same suit.
Please explain to me why this is tacky

To be honest, I would wear a different suit. I don't know if I'd go so far as to think it's "tacky", but I would on the off chance that one of the interviewers would be the same and they'd notice. I work in an extremely professional environment, and I'm highly fashion focused. I could probably tell you what all of my co-workers are wearing today without looking at them. It's just something I notice. And if an applicant came in wearing the same suit to two different interviews, I would assume they don't own another. In an environment as professional as ours, that would concern me.
So long story, yes, just in case, I would wear something else.
It's not.
Wearing the same suit is totally acceptable.
You know this, and I know this. I want to know why the OP thinks it's tacky.

If I was the hiring person in a professional environment I would expect people to look, well, professional. If someone wore the same suit to 2 different interviews and I noticed this I would wonder if they had the means to dress nicely every day. Maybe tacky wasn't the right word to use but I think it would be better to wear 2 different suits.

Isn't that the point of interviewing and finding better jobs? To achieve those means? When I was in college and had an internship at an investment bank, I had only one (black) suit and few basic pieces, but that didn't prevent me from dressing in an appropriate manner and nicely. You don't have to have a lot of clothing to dress appropriately and nicely. In fact, in my closet, there are at least three suits that I don't wear, and it certainly isn't because I don't "dress nicely" it's because the one suit I do choose to wear in a regular basis is the suit I feel most comfortable and sophisticated in. While thinking about it, I should probably donate the ones I don't wear.
OK, so first you'd have to notice this. And I'll bet most people don't. Especially if the interviewee wears a different blouse, jewelry, and/or shoes, and/or wears their hair differently.
In most professsional environments I've worked in, it's business casual. So whether or not you have more than one suit is immaterial.
You lose the bet anyway based on the responses here.

I am secure and adult enough that I can admit defeat.
You win, BF! Although, actually I win because this saves me the money from buying another suit. Thanks, ladies!
