How are you feeling? Any progress so far?
I had an appointment yesterday and am still "a fingertip" dilated. Cervix is soft, but quite posterior still. The doctor said she could feel the baby's head though and that it didn't move up when she pushed on it, so that's a good sign. She said usually first time mom's deliver within 7-10 days of the head engaging in the pelvis. I was really hoping I might be a bit early (both my mom and sister were), but now I'm just trying not to get my hopes up because in reality I think my doctor will let me go between 10 days to 2 weeks overdue....

Now...where are those bumps???
I am feeling pretty good, actually have kind of a burst of energy since late last night... I am hoping it means I am getting close!
I have been having regular contractions since 34 weeks and at that time was a fingertip dilated and about 25% effaced. I went to the hospital last week, cause the baby wasn't moving much (she perked right up as soon as they hooked me up to the monitors) and I was a "good 1 cm and about 70%". At my weekly appt, I hadn't changed, but her head was low. I see my doc again tomorrow and am hoping for more progress. I will be enduced next Wednesday or Thursday if she isn't here by the 5th, because I am high risk due to my placenta.
Along with the burst of energy, I have a ton (more than I've experienced up to this point) of pressure in my pelvis and have had multiple trips to the bathroom (TMI) in the past 24-48 hours.
I keep talking to her and encouraging her to come on her own, so she doesn't have to be coaxed out with drugs!

PS - I always take my weekly picture at home, and don't have a way to post it from work, so sorry no bump...
I'm excited to read some more birth stories and see some pretty babies! Do you all have your texting partners lined up?
