Do you have a 'side' of the bed?

DH and I stayed away from home last night, and he teased me a bit about always having to sleep on the same side of the bed.

I am sure I'm not the only one who does this...

Re: Do you have a 'side' of the bed?

  • Right or left looking at the bed or laying on it?

    Do the creep.
  • We always sleep on the same side of the bed. Even if we're not at home. DH sleeps to my right when we are laying down.

  • I chose the left hand side of the bed (left side when laying on my back), but then I realized that's just my side at home. When we stay somewhere else, it's usually the side furthest from the wall or whichever side DH doesn't want. Ha.
  • If you're facing the bed (like you're standing at the foot of it, looking the headboard)  I'm on the right.

But like someone else said, when we travel, it doesn't always stay that way.  Mostly...but not always :-)

  • I think I almost always sleep on the right side of the bed (if you are laying down in the bed - I am on the right side).  Even when we were out of town a few weeks ago I remember thats the side I slept on.  Though if I think back to our Anniversary weekend - I remember I slept on the left side...

  • Before this pregnancy, I slept on the right hand side when facing the bed, now I take up the whole bed LOL. Poor DH!

I love your new siggy Kaithy! So cute.

  • We typically have our sides.  However,DH wears a CPAP at night so when we go away he has to sleep on the side with an outlet to plug it in.

  • We have sides.  When we got married, we learned that we both had to sleep on the left side of the bed.  Well, obviously that wouldn't work since there's only one left side of the bed.  Me, being the nice wife, gave up the left side to go to the right.  I couldn't sleep well for several days, since I'd always slept on the left side.  Now, I can sleep just as well as I did on the left.
  • We def. have sides. Looking at the bed from the foot of the bed... I always sleep on the right...so that's what I voted for. Funny enough that usually puts me farthest from the door....where ever we are. When we're not in our own bed I usually prefer to sleep farthest from the door...so if that means I have to sleep on the left side then I'll do it. :-)

  • We have sides, but we have actually traded sides every time we've moved (2 times now).  I'm not sure why - H thought we should, so we did.  Since the setup is so different, it doesn't seem abnormal to now be sleeping on a different side.  So in this apartment I sleep on the left.

When H is gone I sleep in the middle :)
