Dear Red Sox,
You gave up, plain and simple. You gave up in early September when you gave up a NINE GAME LEAD. The AL East was in our grasp, and you let it get away. You are LAZY. You have OFFENDED your fans, those who will stay up until midnight only to watch you crumble into the mess you've become (i did not stay up because if i only got 5 hours of sleep it would be a bad day for everyone). you have no one to blame except yourselves. You shame Red Sox Nation. Don't you remember Sports Illustrated crowning you the best team in baseball? How is it that we DOMINATED for most of the summer, then when it counts, you fall over like a dead animal. In case you forgot, we BROKE the curse in 2004. You can't use that as an excuse anymore. You can't use injuries as an excuse either. That's lame. It's obvious that the Tampa Bay Rays have more heart and soul than you, with less than half the payroll. Even the YANKEES care more than you do (Although I can't help but think they ended up losing on purpose in the end). And you know what's sad? Us Red Sox fans will just keep coming back, like a girlfriend that just can't bear to break up with our a$$hole of a boyfriend, because sometimes they shower you will amazingness, then other times leave you in the dust. I hope you enjoy your cars and your houses and your expensive golf vacations that you will be taking in October instead of PLAYING IN THE PLAYOFFS. Have fun. I'll be rooting for the Rays to win the Series.
Signed,
A very disgruntled Red Sox fan.
P.S. This is why baseball needs a salary cap.

YOUR TURN.
Re: Dear....
Wow Amanda, I could feel you disgust just reading that!
Dear Cards:
YOU ROCK!!!!! Thanks for getting your act together in September and pulling off the unthinkable. Cardinal nation is just abuzz this week with excitement because you guys are awesome. Now it's time to shut the Phillies up and put them in their place. Get some rest and be ready to show up and take some names this weekend. We are all rooting for you this year. GO CARDS!!!!
Signed,
A very excited fan!!!
Dear Phillies:
Thanks for beating the Braves. A tie-breaker game would have made us nervous. Thank you for letting us have a little break before coming to your house and taking over. See you Saturday!!!
Signed,
An estatic Cards fan!
hah yeah, needless to say there are a LOT of people in Boston that are not very happy right now!

Amanda, I have one word for you. LOL!!!!! :-) I'm sorry for your loss though.
Julie, are we going to have a baseball trash talking fest here? You are up against some tough fans here in Philly, and I am sure we will be saying a quick hello and goodbye to your Cards as we head off to the NLCS. We at least gave you a few more games to play by beating the Braves (which I thorougly enjoyed watching) but we will not give up so easily.
Dear Phillies,
Thank you for finally getting your momentum back so I can enjoy watching the games again. I have full confidence you will keep the "Eye of the Tiger" as the Philadelphia phans will be rooting you on strong! It has been awesome watching the away games with all the phans in the stands. Keep up the great work!
Always truly your fan,
Lisa

haha! When I opened up this page and saw "Dear..." I knew it was to the Sox!
We had a double whammy last night, I am a Braves fan and DH is a Red Sox fan. He doesn't root for the braves but I sure do root for the Sox. I consider them my AL team.
We both went to bed VERY unhappy campers, since both completely blew it. Boo.
Amanda, first, I completely agree about baseball needing a salary cap. Jeff and I pretty much stopped watching a few years ago because of this same crap!...so....
Dear Lions,
You are making me very nervous...because...you seem to be good. Any true Lions fan is never at ease...during a game, during a winning streak...never. We have seen you come up with some miraculous ways to blow to pieces, so I am just hoping you can hold it together for an entire season. Seriously, I'm tired of the, "Oh, you're a Lions fan...why?" Can you prove to the nation that you need to be taken seriously in the NFL and not counted as an extra Bye on other teams' schedules? I would really appreciate it.
Your incredibly, stupidly loyal fan...from Nebraska...before Suh...
LOL - even tho i live in MA i do not watch baseball... but yes it does suck for fans!
I will chime in with my own letter tho...
Dear My Beloved Patriots...
Please beat Oakland. You come out on FIRE everyweek - break down a bit in the 2nd and 3rd quarters - but TYPICALLY come back strong in the 4th. Last week, not so much. Sad Face. I do'nt need you to win every game, just kick a** when it counts and don't play with your heads in your as*es.
Thank you and i'm very excited to watch you play on Sunday.
xoxo - HH

My Photography Blog!
You better believe we will have a trash talking fest. Cards fans are not happy with Cueto and Phillips and we don't forget those things. The Phillies are goinng DOWN! GO CARDS!
To my Awesome Cardinals,
You fought so hard to be where you are now. Let's keep this momentum going and stomp those Phillies. The Phillies are going down (only 3 & 9 against our Cards)! It's Red October baby!
Oh and bring it on Lisa!
Dear Yankees,
I suppose I should be disappointed in you for blowing a game with a 7-0 lead, but I'm okay with it. Why? Because if the Rays can manage to beat Houston in round 1, and you win, too, then maybe just maybe I'll find a way to go to a game between you and the Rays in Tampa. That'd be great, especially if you don't blow a 7-0 lead when it counts!
Love always,
Rachel
Oh I will bring it and I hope Lori joins me rooting for the Phils :-) This will be an interesting postseason lol

You all should have seen my house last night. I've never seen Dave root so hard against the Yankees. He was peeved when they were up 7-0. Whether your team won or lost, you have to agree that the way it all went down was epic.
And I have to say, I have a lot of respect for the Cardinals and I think Pujols is one of the classiest players in baseball. I actually would have preferred for the Phils to play the Braves or one of the other NL teams. But I won't be shedding any tears when the Cards go down in the first round
Totally agree with the bolded part. It was awesome to see all the post on FB last night about baseball. I don't think I have ever seen so many people rooting for teams they don't like/care about.
Also, thank you for recognizing what Cards fans already know about Pujols. He truly is a class act around here and does so much for the community. It really will be a sad day in St Louis whenever he does leave the team for whatever reason.
Dear Red Sox,
Everything that Amanda said except I actually stayed up to watch the nightmare, and then hoped it was all a dream.
Signed,
Yet another REALLY annoyed fan...

Dear October,
I love you. MLB playoffs are one of my favorite times of the year!!
Love,
Me
I cannot tell a lie. I hate the Yankees. It all stems from my dislike of arrogant athletes and arrogant teams. And our Tigers are playing them in this round of the playoffs. Bleh.
But I also must admit that I just can't get into baseball once football and hockey start. To me baseball is a spring and summer sport. After Labor Day it's all about pucks and pigskin. I'll cheer for my team but I doubt I'll watch much. Go Tigers!!!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
