So two nights ago I felt a UTI coming on. I've only ever had one, but you never forget the feeling I guess. I ran to Walgreens & got the AZO pills.
Went to the doctor yesterday and got antibiotic, but since I'm allergic to penecillin and something else that I took for the UTI in the past (stupid me - didn't write it down) they had to give me something fairly random. Said they'd have to test the urine to make sure that medicine would fight what I had.
So...my question is when you have a UTI how long after you're on antibiotics does it take for you to feel better? I feel like last time it was almost instant. This time I'm a day and a half into pills and I still feel bad. I tried to stop the AZO, but when I woke up this morning it definitely hurt so I took more.

Re: UTI Question
Okay, that makes me feel better. I only had the one before and I remember instant relief (probably because they gave me the good stuff and then I had hives instead of vageen pain).
I was starting to get worried since I'm headed out of town, but I guess that have CVS's everywhere.
Maybe I'll try to not take anymore AZO today and see if I can tell a difference. I just don't want to be in the car feeling like I have to pee every second. That would suck.
....and guess what days are right now - yep, baby making days. I think the universe doesn't want me to be pg. There's no way a weiner is coming near me!
lol!
