DIY Wreath, take 2

After talking with Erinn yesterday, she figured out that what was off about the wreath was scale.  The rosettes were just too small.

So last night I ripped the flowers off, made up some much bigger ones and tried again.  I played around with a few arrangements and settled on one that I like a LOT more.

I think I'm still going to take the advice many of your offered yesterday and hang it from a nice, big fall-ish ribbon too.

This picture also reminds me that I need to finish staining/poly-ing the mantel.

  • I never thought about the flowers being to small. It looks even better now than it did the first time.

  • Thanks guys!

Making the big flowers was kind of fun.  The green one used almost an entire 8.5x11 sheet of felt!

Yep, that was it.  The bigger flowers do the trick.
