Survivor ? Immunity idol

I seriously don't get this- how does having the immunity idol give someone "all the power"?  Really... I don't get it.

I agree and this bothers me.  If you KNOW someone has the idol, vote their asss out!  Then who has the power???

Yeah just vote for them two weeks in a row (one to flush the idol out if you can't blindside them and the 2nd week to get rid of them).

I think its because if someone has the idol, you'd rather be with them than against them. If you align yourself with them, then you may be able to get them to give you the idol if you're ever in trouble. I think the players would rather do that and have the idol in play than flush it out and have it not be there. Though, if I remember correctly, once the idol gets played, don't they put another one in play?

Yes they usually do put another one in play.  My problem with the Idol is that the one who has it always tells everyone that they have it, I don't think it gives that person any advantage if everybody knows they have it.

  • Yeah, I think some players become idol hoarders too and they don't end up playing them and it comes to bite them back in the back. A few seasons back, James, ended up having two idols and he did not play either one of them and he got the boot...It goes to show you that sometimes some players get too cocky or secure. The same with Ozzy before too. I believe he had an idol and they voted him off.I don't really see why they should keep the hidden immunity idols each season for the reason that people keep telling everyone. He/she tells whomever and then you have a huge blabfest lol...I don't think you should tell anyone when you have an idol...They also seem to be too easy to find each season. I don't think anyone really needs the clues either. It is fun to watch the frantic searching for them though!!

I go back and forth between it gives them no advantage and they want to flush it out to it gives them a big one because those that may be floaters or the swing vote will side with them in hopes that since they're on the side with the idol that they'll be safe for a while. I've wanted to go on this show for a long time .... I think I'd do so good! LoL
