Re: AW Thursday
Dave's been home all week so that's been nice, he'll leave for his new assignement on Monday. He'll be in Hartford, CT. He's been working with them at home this week, getting to know some of the people & the work he'll be doing.
Last night I went out with a friend for dinner w/o the kids for once & had a great time. She loves my kids, she's "aunt Jen" to them, but I just for once wanted a time for just her & I to get together & hang out & talk. It worked out that Dave was home (plus it was to celebrate both of our Sept. b-days).
Also, I got the kid's Halloween outfits already & only paid $13 total!

Tomorrow I have an u/s appt & am taking a half day at work because of it.
I'm excited about going to the UofM game again the weekend.
I just had my review at work today. It only took 10min & boss told me he has no complaints. May have been my easiest review ever. Oh, and I got a bit of a raise (it's pretty pathetic, but its something)!
How exciting! I would love to try my hand at Thanksgiving, but with how my ILs are, I don't think I'll ever get the chance.

I get to wear jeans to work today, and I get to spend the afternoon cleaning my desk - and on company time. this is a HUGE deal - my desk has been a disaster, but I never have the time to do anything about it.
My boss received a couple of industry awards for 2 projects I helped him with in a professional society competition, and they are now being judged at an international level. I'm quite proud!
I got a private tour of the Big House Tuesday afterwork - and it was quite awesome. I got to sit in the press box and watch kicking practice, got to see the suites, the locker rooms, and walk through the players tunnel and hang out on the field - I got my picture taken in the endzone. I got some great pics of the stadium too - since it is rarely that empty when it's actually open. I was like a dorky little kid walking around with a huge smile on my face the entire time.
I'm quite an AW this week...
I'm going out for drinks after work and I'm really looking forward to a Margarita right now. My boss just fired my co-worker and I now have more stuff to do. Hopefully it will all work out in the end.
It's always nice to get to go out just by yourself and have an adult conversation with a friend. Andra (babya) and I got together for lunch last Friday sans kids and it was wonderful!! We were seriously there for three hours just gabbing away. All of a sudden we realized what time it was and said "oh my gosh, we have to go!" haha. Glad you had fun!
What kind of costumes did you get? The Once Upon a Child in Canton had a TON of costumes that I saw through the window.
Ooooh, that is exciting!! Is it just his side of the family coming over or will your family be there as well? You'll do fine!!

I keep laughing everytime I think about what the security guard at the last UofM game said to you. That was too funny.
