S/O dreams

Do you dream a lot? Are they usually sedate and normal or do you often have intense or nightmarish dreams?

I dream all the time, especially since I moved back home. My dreams are usually intense and involve fighting or things blowing up, think action film. I usually have a nightmare that involves being chased and/or killed at least once a week too. When I was younger I dreamed about snakes and flying all the time, but not so much now. I can't always remember the dream, but always remember the feelings. Am I am dreaming weirdo or is this normal?

Re: S/O dreams

  • I dream pretty much every night and it's usually pretty vivid. Last night I dreamed that I got into an arguement with my stepmom and called her a Fvcking B!tch to her face. I'd love to do that IRL.

  • I sleep like crap so unless I get an unusually good night of sleep, I don't have dreams that stick with me.

I used to have recurring nightmares growing up about being lost or captive. When I first got pregnant, I started having night terrors and would wake up screaming. Thank heavens I"m over that. So not fun for anyone.

  • I remember tons of dreams. They're usually pretty vivid and rarely make any sense. Sometimes it will be obvious what sparked them (like an event/subject I've been thinking about a lot), but they typically fly into bizarroland from there.

Last night I was in trouble with the law or a bookie or something and was on the run, or about to be... I was talking to my dad who had found a groupon [I've been seriously mulling over a skydiving groupon for vegas, so I'm thinking that was the spark there.] for an around-the world trip that was just within my budget. That way I could keep moving and "they" would be less likely to find me. Except I knew that after I purchased the ticket, I would only have $12 left. And if I was going to travel the world, I wanted to be able to DO stuff, too. I kept telling my dad "It costs money to tour monuments and things! More than $12!" but he just wouldn't get it.

I also like to talk to DH the next day about my dreams as if (a) they had happened, and (b) DH had a clue what I was talking about. I find it endlessly entertaining.

One Chirstmas I got one of those makeup deelies that had tons of stuff in it. I had a dream that night that I had gotten two and when I woke up that morning I was convinced that I had really gotten two and I was pissed at my mom for taking the second one away. It took a while for me to realize that I had really only gotten one.
