Need more friends!!
I feel like lately DH and I have been in somewhat of a rut... We both enjoy going out with friends but all of our friends have moved away. Most weekends we stay home or just visit his father. Dont get me wrong i love spending time with family, but it would be nice to find another couple to hang out with. I work from home so it limits me from meeteing new ppl and DH works with ppl way out of our age group.. How can we make new friends?

Well, you can hang around here :-) Our board has been slow lately, but I think it's picking up a bit.
I've found that Meetup is good, especially if you have a specific interest in mind. When I first moved to Florida, I made a few friends from work and such, but I didn't have anyone to scrapbook with, so I joined a meetup group for scrapbooking. But the problem with that group is that although I think they're great and I love to scrapbook with them, but except for a couple, that's pretty much the end of what we have in common. But it's enough :-)
I suppose it's really hard to try to find a couple to hang out with. It reminds me of that episode of The King of Queens where Carrie and Doug were looking for a couple to hang out with and they were approaching couples at the Home Depot or something.

DH totally scopes other guys out by what they have on... Boat shoes, Guy Harvey shirt, costa sunglasses..right up his alley. or any dude at the boat ramp is right up his alley. ha
LOVE that episode. We used to hang out with couples that my H worked with. Now we mostly hang out with the families in my Mom's Group, and a few of the people H works with that have kids. It's hard to meet people at this age.
Sorry, I just found it kinda weird that the first poster had only one post, then the next one was from another state. I guess I was wrong!
Because I live here, and I don't have someone from AZ posting right after me giving suggestions! Just Saying!

I thought it was spam too. I see it a lot on the national boards. I've seen the spammers using multiple accounts and commenting on their own spam to make it look legit.
