Re: Momma check in!
We're good here. C steadily amazes us with how much he knows that we didn't even know he did! If I say "count" he says "1...2..3" He can count to 10 according to my mom. I've just heard "1...2...3!" but then I was in his room and counting hangers to myself and I stopped at 8 and he said "9, 10!" lol. She also said he knows his ABCs up to G but I've only heard "a....b..."
He also knows lots of words now and it's fun...he'll point to football on tv and say "booobaaaall!" or "baaball" for basketball or baseball.
He also has learned how to throw a fit if he doesn't get to do what he wants. He likes to go outside, even if it's raining and will throw a massive fit if you don't let him (we spent 5 minutes in the pouring rain Friday and 20 more standing on the porch). Oh the joys of an 18 month old. I don't wanna deal with 2 and 3!
We're doing pretty good. We're taking Zantac 3x/daily now for reflux. I thought things were improving until last night when Bridget spit up everything she ate all night long. As a result, she didn't sleep nearly as long as she has been lately. Friday and Saturday night she slept from 930pm to 415am. It was fabulous. But last night she only slept from 1030 to 200.
I'm absolutely dreading going back to work. I have a little under 2.5 weeks left. We're going to introduce the daycare provider to Bridget tomorrow. I have a zillion questions regarding what to take to daycare each day. I need to start making my list now before I forget all of my questions.
Doing pretty good here. Dunc is in teething "hell"-- as 5 teeth have sprouted in the last month and another 2 are ready to bust through. He's constantly chewing on anything--mostly his toys and hands. And oh the temper tantrums.... how is it no one tells you that the terrible 2's start way before 2? We caught the "bug" at daycare and he's home today...running a fever, but not much else.
On a more positive note, he's still eating like a grown man, and trying to talk up a storm, can say ball, apple, bubble, momma, daddy, kitty, quack. We got him a v-tec kids computer so he will stop playing with ours and he loves it. Best 20 bucks I ever spent!!!

Well the pedi said the only real way to determine if it's definitely reflux is an endoscopy, which we don't want to do. He said that it sounds like reflux based on what I described. She's spitting up again this afternoon and I don't just mean a little, it's a lot. I'm starting to worry.
Riley has learned to climb on and off the couch, which I'm so excited about (really). Her climbing/coordination wasn't great for awhile so I'm really proud. With her new skill she actually played at playgroup today instead of using me as a jungle gym. They have a lot of stuff to climb on.
Yesterday she turned on her singing dog and did all the hand motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider, it blew me away. She has also started saying hi and bye whenever she enters or leaves a room lol.
She loves the baby in mommy's belly and will lift up my shirt and give it kisses or lay with her head on it and "sing". I hope she's as loving to an outside baby!
Claire is doing well and growing like crazy. Last week we spent 5 hours at the Children's Hospital - no emergency, but the pedi made us schedule apointments with a geneticist, cardiologist, physical therapist, and ordered a neck xray. Fortunately everything came back normal. My pedi was convinced she had a "syndrome" even though I had an amnio. They wanted to do additional chromosome testing, but I said forget it since everything else came back fine. There is nothing wrong with her, gah!
Because she was stuck in the same position in utero for months her ears didn't shift to the right position on her head and on top of that she has torticollis so she will probably end up needing a helmet
She is 3 mo old already! I started back at work last Thurs - so hard.
