Top 10 name, hated it. There were at least 5 other girls in my grade with that name so they started calling us by our last name initial. Amy A Amy C Amy F. It was annoying.

I think my feelings on the subject are fairly obvious, my name was #4 and I so wish I had a less common name.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

Mine is #1 and I hate that. When choosing baby names, I will delete any that are listed in the top 50 at least.
ETA: I acutally like my name, I just wish it wasn't so common. Especially when I was younger.
My name (Nicole) is #10 but I don't feel like it is that common. I like my name.
When my SIL first learned my name (when DH and I started dating) she said "What an 80's name!" And yeah, my name is straight up 80's (from the show Family Ties), but it makes sense because I was born right in the middle of the 80's. I think my name is pretty, and I wouldn't change it.
My name seems to be more common for girls younger than me (and one Nestie even has a daughter with my name
). I love my name because it's not too weird or too common. I was always the only one with my name in classes at school and the only one in my sorority in college, I loved it. Now there are more younger girls with my name, but that's okay.

People ignore the E in my name and assume it's A and pronounce it like yours. GAH. Thanks Mom for that lifelong annoyance
my currently-reading shelf:
Top ten name with a super popular middle name and common, very common last name. Yeah, I kind of hated my life for a few years. It was constantly causing me trouble. I was served papers for some other person with my exact name and very similar SS#. That was awesome. There were 5 other girls with my exact name at my university...
Now that I'm married there is one other person with my exact name and she's a popular interior designer. Haha.
2010: 41 books, 2011: 31 books, 2012: 100 books
My name is at least in the 50+ if not in the 80-100+ range....not very popular. But I like that....
However, I am sad because the names I love for my future kids are now getting really popular....and that makes me sad. I don't want my kids to have popular names. Oh well.
Mine isn't on the top 25 list. It's becoming more popular with time but its a SUPER old name that usually doesn't come up much. I like it that way. Its not so unfamiliar that people mispronounce it but not many people have it.
