I grabbed all of these from Facebook. I have one more at home that I want to add. Will do shortly.
First... a few engagement pics...
Look, we match!
We changed outfits, but still rock the Detroit attire.
And onto the wedding photos!
The place card holder. They were paper jerseys with a yellow baseball mitt that had our names on it. The jerseys said '11' and had their new last name on the back.
Orange "Tiger lily" centerpieces with blue napkins and custom cosies that matched the place setting cards. Each cosie had a can of Coke in them.
Her bouquet. He had a Detroit 'D' pocket square.
The 'D' on her dress, unbustled
Bustled
Her white Puma shoes
You can kinda see the bridal party attire in the back. Guys had orange gerber daisies, blue ties and a 'D' pocket square.
Girls wore formal gowns with the 'D' and the orange Puma shoes.
And just for comparison's sake... here is the REAL Detroit 'D'

ETA: the bridesmaid's necklace. Not too bad in this shot, but it looks really gawdy in person.
And I was appalled when I saw the 'D' applique on her dress. I totally thought it would be embroidered ON her dress, like those on the bridesmaids' dresses.
Re: Detroit Wedding Pics ETA one last pic
Why didn't they use the real D????
Also--- a fun fact, the Tigers hats and uniforms both have different D's. Unis have lines inside that bow out and have three vertical lines on the left and the hats have lines inside that bow in and two vertical lines (like the one you posted). But, the D that they used is not any of the real Ds.
That's what I was wondering!
I could go with the orange pumas and navy dress if I had to but the "D" embroidery was just ummm... wow.
Unless the Tiger's sponsored the wedding/the groom played for the team it's just all way too much.
Wow, just wow. The D on her wedding dress with the applique patch looks hideous, I'm not going to lie.
But thanks for sharing!!!
That's just ugly.
I had the same thoughts - you're going to theme your whole wedding and then just ..........use some made up logo?
I also think the embroidered "D" on the BM dresses looks a million times better than her iron-on decal.
I'm all for doing whatever floats your boat...but do it well, you know?
I totally missed the OP on this wedding. When I first read the post (before the ETA with last picture), I was like "Wowzers...this is nuts, but I guess KK is down with these people or something?"
Now, I see....
This is a little too much... okay, okay. WAY too much.
Am I missing something? Do you know these people? Why are we being so harsh on them? Yeah, the wedding is totally not my style, but I don't think it's hideous.
I'm sure there is a background story to this. :-)
ETA: I will admit the "D" is bad. :-(

I remember your OP, but I can't remember why these people were so hard core about Detroit.
Its just...wow. Toooooo much!
