Re: Poll: Best Concert

  • My favorite concert was 30 Seconds to Mars last year at DeLuna Fest. It was an amazing venue since it was right on Pensacola Beach. They played right as the sun was going down. Jared Leto is a great entertainer ane he really knew how to work the audience. DH and I started off standing at the back of the group and by the end of 30STM's set we were almost at the front. Jared Leto kept telling everyone to take 3 steps forward to we were all cramped in together jumping up and down, sweating and singing with the sand beneath our toes. It was an awesome experience.

Other than that the Nine Inch Nails concert in Pensacola back in 2006 was pretty good. Trent Reznor crowd surfed right by us.

  • Hmm....it's kind of a tie for me between Incubus last time they came to Jacksonville and The Who Quadrophenia Tour when I was 13. I went with my aunt and uncle to The Who and it was awesome.

  • My favorite concert was Mat Kearney the first time I saw him at The Social in Orlando. Jimmy Buffett and Bon Jovi concerts are also insanely fun.

  • Jimmy Buffett concerts are always fun.

I really like Dave Matthews Band concerts, but I know that they are not for everyone.

  • My favorite concert was Eric Clapton. The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Buffet were also great shows.

  • Boys II Men. And it was like two years ago and not in the mid 90s.
  • Someone mentioned Bon Jovi.  I saw them in Nashville awhile back.  It was really a GREAT show!

I saw Tim and Faith in Biloxi....it was one of the coolest stage setups ever.  They got really close to all areas of the arena to do a song or 2.  Which I thought was very nice....everyone had good seats.

Creed in New Orleans on their first tour since "getting back together."  We had the best time on that trip and at that show.

Aerosmith (with Run DMC and Kid Rock opening)....awesome show.

Linkin Park in Tampa earlier this year.  I was dancing the whole time.

Umm, ya, I can't pick.  I could go on and on about shows I've loved for various reasons.  We're concert junkies.

  • Honestly, I don't want to sound like a total geezer, but I went to Neil Diamond with Crazy as a joke and it was totally awesome. So I went again the next time. Not only was the whole place sold out and people were fighting over seats, like, actually decking each other, he was a fantastic showman. Everyone sang and danced and it was a lot of fun. Plus DH and I got to repeat, "I'll smack you in the mouth, I'm Neil Diamond!!!!!" over and over :D

My favorite concert though was U2 Popmart.

I totally forgot the Aerosmith concert I went to!  That was an awesome show (from what I remember).

  • Green Day, without a doubt. We were on the floor and it was just awesome! I would see them over and over again.

  • Boyz II Men with LB. Following at a not-too-distant second is a huge all-day, three-stage festival in Philly with just hoardes of awesomeness.. Incubus, Our Lady Peace, Lit, Pennywise, Slipknot, Sugar Ray, Fastball.. a bunch of others. So not really fair to compare to a normal concert. :)

I'll join you in the old geezer camp! I don't know how I forgot about this, but third row center at Elton John was pretty freakin awesome. I also really want to see Billy Joel.

  • Incubus last week at the Ampitheater.
Front row at Miranda Lambert in Orlando.
Big Ticket last year. I was backstage with Switchfoot, Black Keys, Dirty heads, and tons more bands, it was amazing.
  • Some of my favorite concerts - u2, No Doubt, Depeche Mode, Blink-182, GreenDay, Sarah McLachlan, Dave Matthews, Black Eyed Peas, Ozomatli...

Some that I would love to see but haven't yet - Bon Jovi, Lady GaGa, Shakira, Sublime Crying, FooFighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith...

  • It's a tie for me with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in Biloxi and Justin Timberlake in NOLA. A close second is Tim by himself with Lady A last year at the wharf.
