So Tasty, So Yummy
Re: 2011 Fall TV Wrap-up
I love Revenge, it is my favorite of the new shows. Though its portrayal of hedge funds is laughable. This week's episode was particularly bad, but I guess if it were accurate, it wouldn't make for good tv.
I also really like Ringer, mainly because I love a campy soap mystery. And SMG is made of awesome. I have loved her since Swan's Crossing.
Playboy Club needs to be on cable, but I said in last week's post. I bet it is cancelled soon.
I already stopped recording Free Agents. I think I may drop Up All Night next week.
Suburgatory is good. Reminds me of one of my most favorite movies, Clueless. It has potential.
I loved Gossip Girl, I totally hope they explore Dan and Blair more this season. Those two have chemistry.
Happy Endings is in my top five shows now, so much love and the cast is fantastic.
Grey's Anatomy is done for me, I think I may stop DVRing it. It is ridiculous.
I will watch Desperate Housewives because it is the last season, but I am not enjoying it so far. The 'murder' is stupid.
HIMYM and Community continue to be great, especially Community. Last night's episode was hysterical.
So Tasty, So Yummy
Grey's Anatomy is a trainwreck but I feel like I've invested so much time in it I just can't quit watching.
The only new shows I've watched are Unforgettable and Two Broke Girls.
Unforgettable is pretty good. We really like crime dramas as a family.
Two Broke Girls was just ok. I'm not big on sitcoms. Especially ones that we can't watch with the kids in the room (which is most of them... so sad).
There is a lot of stuff on the DVR that I haven't had a chance to watch yet.
I loved me some Swan's Crossing
As far as the new stuff goes:
Revenge - favorite new show, for sure.
New Girls - like it.
2 Broke Girls and Whitney - nope.
Up All Night - I "deleted" it after last week but it still recorded. This week was better, though. I still don't love it. But I really want to.
Hart of Dixie - I declared it done in the first 10 minutes and had changed my mind by the end.
Terra Nova - I don't know. The 6-yr old in me loves anything to do with dinosaurs. And it was very Lost-y and Avatar-y... but then it was kinda Jurassic Park III-y. It wasn't reviewed very well and I hate getting into shows that I know will be canceled.
Person of Interest is okay. J really likes it.
Suburgatory didn't record for some reason so we have to go back and see that one. And I'm still waiting on Once Upon a Time. I might go back later for Ringer, too.
I haven't watched many new ones. I like The New Girl so far, but Zooey Deschanel can do no wrong in my eyes. DD wanted to watch Terranova, and I got sucked in, but probably won't watch it again.
Still happy with most of my old stand-bys: Community, Parks and Recreation (my fave), Happy Endings, Modern Family. The Office is very "meh" to me. I had it on last night and completely tuned it out; don't even know what it was about.
oooh Swan's Crossing. Loved it!
The only new show I've tried is New Girl and I love it. I'm with Dynamo, love Zooey and everything she does.
I'm also waiting for Once Upon a Time in October. Hoping it's as awesome as Lost was.
Returning shows, The Office and Community are on the DVR. I'm still in the middle of last season watching both of them so don't ruin it for me. Community is by far my fav show on right now.
Love- New Girl and Revenge
Like- Unforgettable, Prime Suspect (both when we have time)
Still Enjoying- The Office, Big Bang, The amazing Race and Mike & Molly
Up All Night gets two more episodes to improve or it's out.
Whitney is out.
Grey's is pretty icky right now but I feel like I have invested to much time to abandon now.
Man I need to watch more TV, how do y'all have time?
Grey's- I feel the same as several PPs, I'm not liking it lately but I just can't quit now!
Criminal Minds is giving me nightmares lately. Still like the show but just can't handle the serial killers these days.
Modern Family - Love love love.
Unforgettable - This is the only new show I've caught, I like it but I'm not in love with it.
Up All Night - we watched one night, not fans. I really wanted to like it, but it just fell flat for me.
That's it. Seriously, I need more time to watch TV.
Loves - Good Wife, Modern Family, RHOBH
EH - The Office - I was checking how much time was left to see how much longer I had to watch it. Up all Night, I will give it one more week... I recorded Suburbia but haven't gotten to it yet.
I watch out of obligation - Desp Housewives, Gray's Anatomy, Private Practice. I may drop GA and PP, they are TOO depressing.
I wish more sitcoms were on T.V.!
Playboy Club - I actually like it, but it has mixed reviews. This may be due to my interests in 50's & 60's cars, culture, etc.
2 Broke Girls - too cheesy for me!
HIMYM - great!
X-Factor - better than American Idol - better talent.
i'm still catching up from last week on the dvr.
grey's, desperate housewives and private practice are getting a bit insane, but like others i feel too invested to walk away. i'm glad desperate housewives is on the way out.
still liking modern family, big bang, how i met your mother, 30 rock, and parks and rec.
i'm curious as to how law & order svu will do without christopher meloni.
i have a newfound addiction to sister wives and the little couple. sister wives is a train wreck i can't look away from. the things that come out of the husband's mouth are insane sometimes.
i was done with community and the office last year. dh still watches them.
Greys Anatomy: Have to watch it. It can't have too much left in the series at this point!
Pan Am: Liking this so far!
Playboy Club: Also enjoying this one.
New Girl: Love Zooey, too. Good show.
Up All Night: Annoying and boring.
Whitney: Lame.
Glee: Dull lately.
Terra Nova is OK, but I agree that if it doesn't improve, it is likely to be canceled.
Old Shows I watch: Nikita; Chopped; Biggest Loser
Looking forward to: Once Upon a Time; Dexter
I am still watching:
Criminal Minds - I was happy with the first two episodes! I really love this show and rarely have any complaints.
Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, and HIMYM.
New Shows -
Up All Night - I thought the first one was ok. I thought the second and third episodes were hilarious! I really like Christina Applegate, too. So that is one I will stick with!
Two Broke Girls - Eh. I watched the first episode and parts of the second. Nothing special.
I am really excited about The Walking Dead coming back on!!!!
I just watched the second epi of Revenge and I am really loving it, too! It seems like she is knocking off 1 person per episode, so I can't figure out how they will maintain the longevity of the plot, but I like it, so far.
I also like Pan Am pretty well, so far. And I'll keep trying on Suburgatory - I liked it ok.
I also have been trying out Whitney. It's meh. I think I would like it if the boyfriend was hotter - seems like the scruff and greasy hair on him just looks dirty and not sexy.
I watched the first Up all night, but forgot to record the others - maybe I'l try to catch them and see if I can get into it.
I still have the oldies on DVR - DH, GA, PP, etc. They are fine for now - same as pp - I have invested too much time to stop watching, so I figured they each only have a few seasons left before they get dropped, so I'll just finish them out.
-new shows I love:
Revenge, Xfactor, Terra Nova, Tia & Tamera
-new shows that are average:
Secret circle
I still have not seen Pan Am, it is on the DVR
-Returning loves:
Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, Top Model,
-Average Returns
