Weekend Plans

Happy Friday!! What are you guys up to this weekend?

My boss just came through with tickets to tomorrow's game. It's going to be a good long day of tailgating! I'm so excited he's selling them at face value. They're going for over $100 a piece online.

Sunday I hope to head to the pumpkin patch and work on more house projects (same thing we do every weekend Pinky).

Happiest place on Earth!

Re: Weekend Plans

  • I am 2 hours into our drive to DC right now, guess who won the fight on whether or not to fly, boo. Were visiting T's family and his grandparents up from FL. Driving back on Monday.

  • Lots of sports watching this weekend.

Saturday the Dbacks (my parents team) play earlier in the day and Phillies (our team) play in the afternoon. And both NC State and MSU are on tv at the same time.

Sunday playoffs again and redzone channel so we can watch our nfl teams.

  • This is usually my favorite weekend of the year.

Saturday we'll be going to my nephew's soccer game then to Apple Harvest Day, which is a town festival with lots of vendors and local stuff. After that, we usually go apple picking on our way home.

Sunday we're going to a fair with BIL/SIL and maybe others. Usually H has drill, but it got pushed back this month, so he'll be able to come.

The weather isn't looking great, but we're going to make the best of it anyway. Now if I can just get through today.

  • Not a whole lot going on...  I have to keep up my studying for the PE exam.

Saturday I have that evening wedding to attend.  Clemson isn't sucking this year like usual - so we got a night game against VT.  The wedding I am attending will have a bunch of Shamecock fans there (who I think are also playing at night) - so if there were any hope of a football game being on at the wedding...it'll be the Shamecocks. :-(

I may do a few projects around the house - we'll see how motivated I get. :-)

  • DH gets back late tonight after spending all week out on a fossil dig.  Early tomorrow morning we drive to Boise, ID which is about 12 hours away.  I am excited to drive through the mountains and see the fall colors.  We'll be passing through the Tetons and I can't wait to see them even though we were just there 2 weekends ago.

DH has training in Boise all next week so Kodi and I get to hang out at the hotel, shop, and just bum around all week.  I'm hoping to find a pumpkin patch or apple orchard. I'm so excited to get out of Wyoming.  And the best part, most of the trip is paid for by DH's work.

  • We're going to Grand Rapids for the weekend with my mom and aunt for ArtPrize. It's a pretty amazing event.

I am looking forward to it, but have been having some stomach pains this week. I think the baby must be going through a growth spurt or something like that.

So I hope I am able to enjoy myself with all the walking involved.

  • DH is gone at a bass tournament with my dad all weekend. They actually left at 4am yesterday to pre-fish. Since he won't be home til late Sunday, I decided that it would be a great weekend to pick up my nephew (2.5yrs) for the weekend. We are meeting half way after work today, then I'll take him home on Sunday. I predict lots of time at the park and/or local lake this weekend.I am also babysitting my 1 month old niece Saturday night. Kinda nervous, but my brother is going to come hang with us too.
  • Tomorrow DH has to work all day to finish this flipping chapter he was asked to write for a medical textbook some colleagues are working on.  It's not paid or anything and has completely consumed him for about a month (and I get to read it today too and offer edits.  SNORE :) )  It's due tomorrow and then that's the end - woot!

Sunday we have a Baptism to go to (boring! :) ) and then DH has to do his long 20 mile marathon train run in the afternoon (double boring!).

    So, yea, nothing fun really.

  • Tonight I have to run real quick after work, and then we're going to see 50/50 with some friends.

Saturday morning = more running (I'm tapering so my long run is only 7 miles this week. Woohoo!). In the afternoon we're going to Oktoberfest with SIL and her BF and most likely drinking far too much beer. Originally, SIL's BF and DH wanted to buy lederhosen to wear. Sooo glad that plan never got carried out. That's over at 5, so we're recording the MSU game and just avoiding all texts and facebook until after we get home and watch the game.

Sunday, I have no plans! Probably lying around and relaxing. I think it's supposed to rain.

  • Oh, you know...just hanging out with star and family. :):)

    Jealous.

    Anniversary
  • Today's my birthday! :) No plans for today, though. H will be at school from 11:30-5:30, so I'll be spending the afternoon by myself. A friend asked me to go yardsaling with her, but it's rainy, so I'm probably not going to. I think I might pull out my fall decorations.

Tomorrow we're hopefully going apple/pumpkin picking.
