AW: Another chair finished! PIP

It was originally an ugly orange color. Now it's really really RED. (I think the lighting in the pic tones it down a bit.)

I would've loved to have this in my living room, I even matched it to our red accent wall thinking that just maybe our apartment would expand another 50 or so square feet when I wasn't looking. But alas, the chair has found another home. Probably for the best. We already have too much furniture (some of it is in storage even) and I want to get rid of all of it when we move out of state this spring anyway.

ETA: More sensible phrasing. lol. time to cut off the coffee!

  • Great job!!  I have two Queen Ann chairs that need to be recovered...but I"m not sure if I can do it, or if I should bring it to someone.  Where did you learn how to do it?

Thanks! I learned mostly from watching my mom, she is a very DIY type. Her mastery comes through experimentation, patience, and sheer will. The best way to learn is to just do it. Start small, with simple projects. You probably don't want to learn on your Queen Annes. Rescue crap from the curb (this chair was $7) and use remnant and clearance supplies so its not so fruatrating when it doesn't turn out.
