First of all HELLO! I never get to post but I try to peek in and see what is going on. Not too much lately I see, but still wanted to say hi.
Also..I logged onto the Bump to ask a sippy cup question on 6-9 before realizing that all the girls are moving to 9-12 because they are sick of sippy cup questions. Oops.
So my question - for the moms. We are going to Disney this weekend and I am wondering if LOs need some water? We have never given them water but is formula enough to keep them hydrated? We will keep them shaded and get into the AC some but at 8 months is water the norm? And would they use a cup or their bottle? I left a message with my pedi nurse, but sorta feel dumb about that one. But really, I have no idea!!! Any clue??
I hope everyone is doing fantastic!
Re: Hi!/Bump Boards/And a ?
I say yes, give them water! It is hot, and a little water in a sippy will be refreshing!
Have they had a sippy cup before? I honestly can't remember when Macy first got a sippy cup, LOL. But I do remember Macy was (and still is) very particular about her sippy cups. She will only use one brand and she will never try another brand under any circumstances. And it took us awhile to find a sippy cup that she approved of. So, if they haven't had a sippy cup yet I would bring along a few extra bottles and throw some water in them for just incase the reject the sippy cups. However, if they are accustomed to sippy cups then forget everything I said, LOL.
But yeah, water is just fine for them! My pedi says that Macy should only have 4 oz a juice a day (but shhh, she gets about twice that.....bad mom) so you could throw some juice in the diaper bag too. I like to water Macy's juice down with water and she seems to be happy with that
Have fun!!
Baby Macy is here!

I would definitely give it a shot, although like Kathy said they may reject it if they aren't used to a sippy. A soft spouted one with handles would probably be your best best, but you might just have better luck offering them tiny little sips right from a regular water bottle. I never gave DS any juice or water in a baby bottle (just breastmilk/formulua) because I had read that keeping them seperate helps the bottle weaning process, (who knows how true that is though), but water in a bottle would certainally work too.
With Beckett I started a sippy cup of water at 4 months. This time around my pedi wanted me to wait until 6 months. I've only given it to her a handful of times, but Maisy hasn't mastered it at all yet. She gets very excited to see it but then gets frustrated when she can't make it work.
I hope you guys have an awesome time.
Thanks!!!
I appreciate all the tips
I will definitely bring them water and maybe even try a Mickey Mouse sippy cup!
Kathy - I didn't realize babies could be so particular. Although Brett and Emma are that way with bottles, I didn't imagine it could be sippy cups, too. Haha, good to know.

URG, well I know nothing about this question, but are the bump boards that bad?!
I was thinking of going and trying them out since I have like a million baby questions and I don't want to bore everyone here with them, but I am nervous that the girls won't be so nice....
I haven't found them to be too bad, as long as you lurk before you post. That way you get a good idea of what to ask/how to ask questions. My month board on TB was always pretty friendly. The 0-3/3-6, etc boards can be snarky, but you have to take them with a grain of salt sometimes.
