With the season premieres all this week, I've been thinking about what reality TV show I'd go on if I had the opportunity.
I'd love to go on either Survivor or The Amazing Race. However, I'm not sure I'd really do too well in either one. In Survivor I think I'd do BETTER because it's a social game and I'm pretty good at being social and figuring people out. The Amazing Race I'd love to race either with my husband or my sister. My sister and I tend to have a strained relationship, and I really think that this would bring us together. We sometimes have a difficult time figuring out the other's strengths, and I think this would be a fantastic way to do it. My husband I'd love to race with, but I'm so high energy and he's so laid back I wonder if it'd be so much more detrimental! (And, while I'd love to race, I'm petrified of flying. That would be a big problem...and I also have digestive troubles which cause anxiety in places I don't know where the nearest restroom is. I don't think that'd be very helpful either!!)
So what about you all??
Re: If you could go on any reality show, which would you go on?
Amazing Race. It's the only show I've seen where it's simply about how you do on your own. there is some relationship/strategy to it as far as teams U turning others, but even then... sometimes it's ONLY about "this one team is really good and they are behind us - we have to slow them down".
I don't know that I could handle it, though! But it is the one show I'd consider doing if the opportunity presented itself.

If I could find the right person to do it with Amazing Race would be my choice. My DH would drive me insane if we did this though. Probably my sister would be my best partner for it.
I would love to say my aunt who is 4 years older than me but she has a tendency to harass me about not being sure about directions. If I am looking at a map and haven't been somewhere before I will say I think instead of I know that you need to go this way or that and that drives her nuts.
Well obviously in a foreign country I wouldn't know where I am going if I haven't been there before.

Hands down the Amazing Race. If I tried to do Survivor I'd the be the person airlifted out for medical reasons.
I also think it would be fun to do some of the challenges in ANTM, but I'm too old and too short.
DWTS. I'm not a star, but I love dancing, and I'd love to learn all those different types of ballroom. And I'd have a leg up on my competition because I've taken dance (albeit tap, and basic ballroom 101) lessons before.
Although I'd love to have an antique or something special enough to get restored and/or bring to the Pawn shop of either Pawn Stars and/or American Restoration!
I have a fantasy about going on Big Brother, but it would never work. As a teacher, our school year would start before the show was over, and I could never leave my (post-transplant) DH and our elderly dog for three months. Also, even if the school year started later, I couldn't ever let the cameras catch me naked, or I'd lose my job.
Yes, it's pathetic how I have actually thought this through. :-)
I wanted to be on "Big Brother" for a while, until I started watching the live feeds and saw how much they really "edit" people and give them a character. I'd be afraid of what character they'd give me. And I also would be mortified to be caught naked on camera.
I would like to do "The Amazing Race" with DH but with a baby on the way, this is no longer something I would consider. I wouldn't want to leave my child.
ETA: I think it'd be fun to be so crazy and reckless that you would be on "The Bad Girls Club." Those biitches are insane.
DWTS! Obviously, I would go home first, b/c I have no following - unless all of the nesties help me out! ;-)
real world challenges. but i wouldnt want to go on the real world (although i would if i was 8 years younger with no kids!)
i like how the cast members are closer to my age. i like how the dudes are douches and the girls are catty. i wouldnt mind jumping in the dramatics.i am also very athletic - they usually have a lot of challenges involving hiking and swimming - i am a trail runner and a relatively good swimmer - i'd beat them all.
and i like to drink.
If I could bring back old school The Real World, back when they used actual real people and not hot drunken 20-somethings, I'd go on that.
But today I would go on X Factor or The Apprentice.
