Awesome job news
I had mentioned an interview a couple of weeks ago. Well V didn't end up getting that job, but had two interviews for a government job that he was very interested in. He's been a nervous wreck all week waiting for news.
Well they just called and gave him a verbal offer! The posted FT position actually went to an internal candidate, but they liked him so much that they will be creating a new contract position for him, with the possibility of becoming FT at the end of the contract. Even as a contract, it's a significant boost to our income. The office is also really close to the university, so once I go back to work, we could commute together and maybe have lunch together now and then. They're flexible with the start date so now we just have to decide that. It's been wonderful having him around but Darian is starting to become much more manageable these days so I'm cool with him starting whenever.
What a relief!
