I finally made up my mind to go buy the Shark Lift Away vacuum. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond last night to get it and noticed they also have a Shark Lift Away Professional vacuum. It is white instead of purple (which I like better) but cannot find that much information about it. I goggled it and there are no reviews about it anywhere. It is not even listed on the Shark website. I was wondering if anyone have the ?professional? version or just the regular one.
Re: Shark Vacuums
I just bought this vacuum yesterday and so far I Iove it. I based my decision on reviews of the regular/purple one because it seems as if they are almost the exact model. It must be pretty new because I haven't found reviews for the pro version either, but I figured if the older model gets great reviews the pro should be just as good or better right? I would say the pros/cons listed for the regular one would fit the pro version well. I did find an article comparing the pro to a dyson, and it stacked up well - even better considering it is lighter and cheaper.
Walmart has a very similar version (model NV355) which is also a pro model, but I think the difference is in the accessories included. It is $188 rather than the $200 for the NV356e that Bed Bath & Beyond is offering - if you have a 20% coupon though it's a better deal.
Just like other reviews, I was impressed with the extra amount of filth that it sucked up from my seemingly clean floors. It is much stronger than my old one, yet lighter and easier to maneuver.
I think the main difference between the purple and white model is the vacuum and dust accessory with the washable dusting cloths. This was the deciding factor for me when comparing it to other vacuums because as a regular upright vacuum it outperforms my old hoover, but it comes with the bonus option of portability for my stairs and dusting the floors.
