I really hope so too, but that's employment law. Your county bar association should have a referral service if you don't know anyone who knows a good employment lawyer. Sorry you have to think about this.

Thanks. Obviously I don't want to have to worry about this, but you never know. A similar situation happened to a co-worker (who is also a relative) when she came back from maternity leave. She said she'd give me a statement if need be.

They cut her pay when she came back from maternity leave. She was actually doing the same thing I do now. She has since moved to a different position and got a raise, but when she first came back she was told that they "just couldn't justify paying her what they paid her."

The deceased CEO was a misogynist, and apparently that's just the company way.

What's even more crazy is that all the top positions are held by women. Our COO just had a baby last year. They all have kids. You'd think they'd be more understanding.
