Re: Aegis

  • Thanks for thinking of me.  The procedure went really well.  After the morphine wore off yesterday I was in a lot of pain.  I'm still sore today, but feeling so much better.  They got 22 eggs and 8 have fertilized.  We'll know tomorrow how they're splitting/dividing and baesd on that will do a transfer on either Thursday of Saturday.

  • Sorry for butting in!  I am glad to hear that everything went so well (except for the pain).  8 fertilizing sounds good!  Are you going to be freezing any?

If they make it we will.  I'm worried we won't have enough to freeze though, since we lost a good percentage in the first 24 hours.  The nurse kept telling me that 8 is good, but I guess I'm just a worrier.

  • I would be worried too, I think no matter how good things are going it is expected to be worrying!  But 8 does sound good.  Hopefully they'll all be dividing properly tomorrow.

  • All 8 made it to 48 hours, and are actually graded at the highest possible grade (based on number of cells and symmetry).  The nurse said the past 24 hours couldn't have gone any better and we'll be doing a transfer on Saturday.

If they stay a high quality, just one.

  • GL, Aegis!  I used to lurk on IF (even though we weren't TTC, I still had PCOS and was curious) a long time ago and 8 to freeze is amazing!  I hope the ET goes flawlessly and you bring that baby home in 9 months!!
  • I've been following your blog. I am so glad everything is going smoothly. I pray you bring home a baby in 9 months
  • That's great news.  Good luck on Saturday!!

  • All 8 were still looking great at 72 hours.  Hopefully that means we have something to freeze so that if the first transfer doesn't stick I won't be looking at nearly as many needles :)
