Re: Roll Call!!!
Good evening! T and I are hanging out watching TV and goofing off on our laptops. We went to a farmer's market today, got a ton of fresh veggies, made purees for Sophia (they're in the freezer since she still has at least a month before she's ready for them) and I made butternut squash soup with gouda grilled cheese (I'll have recipes on my blog tomorrow).
Tomorrow we're going to this train museum up by post so I can go out on the tracks and take some photos for my photography class.
Right now I'm chilling on the couch under a blanket with a cup of tea watching the clouds roll in. I can feel the rain coming and can't wait! The bread maker is going and in about 30 minutes I'm going to start some broccoli cheese and potato soup for dinner.
We had Miss C from 8 am to about 1:30pm today while her parents went on a date for their anniversary. Can I just tell you how fun it is to watch a group of 5 3 year old's do ballet and tap for 45 minutes! So cute! C decided towards the end of tap to pull the ribbons out of her tap shoes and tie them around her legs. Then they do this thing for the last few minutes where they get scarves and play loud music and run around the room waving the scarves and screaming, the teacher turns out the light and they lay down on the floor as fast as they can. When she turns the light back on they do it all over again! So funny!!!!! We can home after ballet and had lunch and watched a movie and then her Mommy and Daddy came and got her. It was a lot of fun.
Ooh I want to see the recipe, I have a butternut squash at home right now. I always make butternut squash lasagna but I want to try something different.
I heated up a PF Chang's frozen dinner meal this evening. Nothing exciting.
Tonight is a quiet night. Me and my iPad, DH and LO are already asleep (it's almost ten pm here) and Smudge is snoozin' on the couch next to me. It's been rainy most of the day, so I can hear the cars as they drive by.
It it kind of sad to think that my life used to be more interesting, at least on paper. Oh well. I'm not complaining.
I'm watching the Yankees game and drinking some wine. It's been a boring day here. I did take the dog for a good walk though so at least I did some exercise.
I did some shopping yesterday and have more to do tomorrow. I'm a crazy coupon person, and was super excited to only spend $8 at Target yesterday and save $105!
Dinner was a bbq chicken salad. I found a really good blue cheese vinaigrette dressing that I love so it's making me eat more salads, which definitely isn't a bad thing.
This was our morning as well. I was literally biting my nails over this game!!
We didn't really do much today, we did hit up the BX and got me a Wii Fit. I'm pretty stoked to have it, and plan to make good use of it. Now we're chilling and watching LOTR: The Two Towers Extended Edition and eating popcorn.
Tomorrow I start my new project of going through the house and purging stuff and organizing what we keep. I'm tired of not having places to readily put things away.
