Well, sort of. I woke up with a raging sore throat...and I have 7 committee meetings this week before and after school, plus we are supposed to hike with my kids tomorrow, and we have state testing Tuesday-Thursday with tons of activities planned between the tests to keep the kids engaged. NOT the week to be sick. So, I am flooding myself with fluids and lying on the couch for the day hoping I'll feel fine tomorrow. Ed also wants to go to the movies, so I will probably do that with him too and then pick up a couple of things I forgot at the store yesterday.
On a better note, the beer and chocolate party last night was really fun. Even though it was with a bunch of people I work with, I never actually get to see and chat with them during the week, so it is fun to get together and catch up.
Re: Happy Sunday!
Last night that dinner was amazing! Everyone should seriously make that meal.
This week is homecoming week at school, and it starts with me having an IEP meeting at 7:05am on Monday. The student I have this meeting for is rather challenging to say the least. I doubt him or his parents will actually show, which is too bad.
Today I'm having grown up time with some of my lady friends. It's been forever!!! Prior to that however I'm going shopping to get Myles this highchair I've been eying up!
I do however need to get my eyebrows waxed ASAP. They are currently a hot mess.
ETA: today is also the walk/kite fly, but it is a little chilly to have an infant out in the cold for that long today. If we find a sitter we're going, if not then we'll do our own mini version here at home on their birthday.
Hola, ladies!
I am getting ready to go to work... I am getting my new assistant in the computers this morning so she can start training Wednesday night! Hooray! Everything is happening SO fast!
Tonight I am going to be so tired that I will just crash. Boring, yes, but the past couple of days have been a whirlwind and I haven't been able to sleep because my mind has been racing!
Good morning.
I went to bed pretty early last night and ended up sleeping 10 hours. I'm definitely feeling much less tired today and I'm hoping to head off for a run in a few minutes. DH will be heading out for groceries and then I'm going to make some soup for dinner. Otherwise I'm going to be lazy the rest of the day.
Good morning!
I'm going to run out and get a few groceries for the week in a bit, and then it's another chilled out day! I forgot my marking on my desk at school, but I'll (hopefully) get a ton done tomorrow as I have two classes writing tests that day.
I'm thinking some artichoke-bean dip for the football today, and some rolled meatloaf for dinner.
Oh! And I forgot to mention - in a totally random turn of events this week, I've won a gift card to a local drapery store (I'm thinking I may buy new curtains for our bedroom) and, because I complained about the quality of some meat I bought at our ethical/local/free-range butchery, I'm getting a free Thanksgiving turkey!

Hi ladies.
We went to the BSU game yesterday, then to dinner with my dad. It was 85 degrees out, which is miserable in itself, then my ankles started hurting and my feet started swelling, which just made for a rough day.
We came home from dinner, then I slept for 13+ hours. I'm feeling pretty good now, but I do have to work all day.
Tomorrow starts a crazy 4 day stretch of school and work, but then I have 4 full days off

Good morning!
Yesterday was a success all around! Darian was great with my parents, V and I had a great time at the wedding and feel very recharged after the much-needed alone time, and Darian slept for a 6 hour stretch! Amazing. Today we'll be chilling at home to recuperate from such a long day, lol. Possibly go grocery shopping.

Afternoon! Quiet day over here--after the rushing around yesterday afternoon, it's welcome! But we did find a bed and it'll be here on Columbus Day. Now to find those pesky linens that won't cost an arm and a leg.
I just finished doing some edits on book reviews and now it's time for lunch. I should also hit the gym today at some point--but they close at 7pm, so there's plenty of time.
Today we will probably be going to church. We don't have much planned, other than hosting a meeting tonight. We spent most of the day yesterday cleaning and making the house look real good.
I will probably pick up some more yarn today, I am working on a blanket and am almost out of yarn for it.
On the whole, a pretty relaxed day.
Finally sitting down after a crazy weekend. All day wedding on Saturday went really well. Jackson was a huge hit with all the ladies, and he slept for most of the day. He did have shorter stretches last night, but it wasn't too bad.
We finally got to BRU today. I got a sleep sheep (crossing my fingers) and a Fisher Price soother with music and lights. I figure one will be good with nap time in giving him something to look at so he can put himself to sleep and the other will be good for night time so he can really mellow out and sleep a nice long stretch.
In crappy news, the limp that Sadie was still rocking turned out to be a broken toe. It was actually what we assumed, but the fact we could all move it without her really wimpering made us think it was just a sprain or something. She's now in a full leg cast for 4 weeks, with weekly visits to make sure it's healing properly. Seriously?! How do our animals get themselves into so many stinkin vet situations?
