Re: MrsReem

  • Still frustrated.

The Dr today wouldn't touch Ana because she didn't want to step on our other Drs toes. She thought it looked much like scarlet fever too but wouldn't confirm. All she did was say that her rash was very impressive (huh?) and that we could now give her benadryl for the itching.

Blood tests confirmed that she's not bleeding under her skin, so that's very positive news but we still don't know what's causing it. I need to get to the bottom of exactly what they tested for and what I'm supposed to do. She's had the rash for 9 days now and it's not getting better.

I would have thought that if it were a med allergy it would have gone away by now. (off the meds for 12 days)

If it were scarlet fever, it would have subsided at around the 9 day mark.

Now I'm considering a milk allergy. Ana begged for milk all day today, and since she's uncomfortable and cranky I gave in. (Usually I give them more water than milk.) Her rash got really awful this evening so maybe??

Katen tested positive for strep but the doc we saw (not our own) wouldn't Rx antibiotics for this 5th round because she wanted her to tough it out and build immunity. WTF!?!?!

Wish I had better news. I'm frustrated and nervous about all of this, and I hate to see my kids suffer. On a positive note, the whole house is sparkling clean and sanitized... again.  lol!

  • I'm a little late to the party, but gosh! your poor girls :( this makes me really sad!

What brand of milk did you use? My sister can't drink Robert's brand for these reasons, for the rash?

  • We drink Horizon Organic with DHA, so we've cut out milk entirely to see if that helps.
