Realtor Recommendations

Hey all!  Just popping in for a bit, I thought maybe someone would be around that could help me out.

My H and I are just getting the process started for house hunting.  We are looking for any realtor recommendations that you have, (or even tell me who to stay away from).  If you could give me names/numbers and maybe a few reasons why you liked yours so much, I would greatly appreciate it!  TIA!!!

Re: Realtor Recommendations

  • We used Joyce Turner from Champions Real Estate Group. Her email is joyce@joyceturner.com and her cell number is 859-653-3981. I have known her since elementary school, her daughter is one of my best friends. She has been in the business the entire time I have known her. She showed me 25 houses and walked us through the buying processed and helped us negotiate with the bank on a foreclosure. She also sold my parents house this year in 5 days. If you have any specific questions feel free to pm me and I can answer them.

  • LOVE our realtor Pat(ricia) Chrysler.  We were first time home buyers and she was very good at educating us about the process and giving us honest opinions vs. trying to push a sale.  She was extremely patient (helped us work through a short sale for 6 mths which we ultimately walked away from and showed us well over 100 houses - we're picky!) and always went above and beyond.  When I remodeled our kitchen after we closed on our house, Pat would offer advice on which materials would help with resale value and even offered to go shopping with me.  Check her out at www.athomewithpat.com

If I recall, you're from the West Side (OHHS district specifically) and while I can't speak to his realtor abilities, you could check out my former classmate if you want to buy in the area since it's his "home turf".  Jim Clodefelder - james (at) pivotrealty (dot) com

  • Thank you so much for your recommendations!  I'll look into both.

Christine, you are right, OHHS is where we want to be.  I know we have talked about this before, but I think we are really ready to get started this time, so I thought I'd ask again.  Thanks, and if anyone else has anything I'd be happy to hear it.
