Kid clothes tutorials vent
I don't have kids, but I enjoy making things for friends & family.. Whatever I make is usually a surprise & even if it wasn't the kid isn't close enough for fittings or for me to steal clothes to make patterns from. It SUCKS when I see something cute & it says "Find a t-shirt that fits well. Cut it open on all the seams." or "trace around pants/skirt/shirt that fits" ... blablabla I see it all the time.

yea.. I've done that before, but it's kind of a pain to do for every project since the kids keep growing & changing size. (which I'm sure is why so many people just trace clothes that they already have) It's not so bad for stuff for me/dh b/c our sizes pretty much stay the same.
