Who's here... quick help... wedding attire for tomorrow

The wedding is tomorrow at 6pm.  On a beach near Baltimore (I guess assuming it doesn't rain.  I don't know what the rain plan is.) It's supposed to be 60 around that time.

I've learned it's typical wedding attire, which seems odd since it's a beach wedding.  Whatevs.  So what on earth do I wear?

  • Cocktail dress and kitten heels?  Or fancy flats- something you don't mind getting sand in.

I tend towards jewel tones in the cocktail dresses for fall.

  • I would for sure take a cardigan or shrug.  It's supposed to be chilly tomorrow.

  • I thought the high tomorrow wasn't even supposed to be 60. I think it will be really chilly on the water, so I'd definitely bring a warm wrap or just steal your DH's jacket for the ceremony. (Is the reception indoors?)

  • Well, no one could have prepared for this wedding ;-)

Since it was so chilly, I found a nice top I could wear with black flowy pants.  Temperature issue solved. But...

The ceremony was held outside on a deck on the water.  It was just starting to rain as it started, and got worse as it went on.   The poor chick in front of me (dressed like a Russian prostitute) had so little clothing on and we literally shivering in the cold rain. My aunt walked up behind her and made her take her shawl b/c it was painful to watch. I had luckily grabbed my rain shell out of the car thinking it might be chilly.  I didn't think we'd have a rain situation.  Everyone who didn't have a jacket get all wet.  It was ugly.

Then the food was bad. Really bad.  Like, school cafeteria bad.  At least there was an open bar, so no one was too unhappy!
