Thanks for your kind words and commiseration about reviews. I just had it and it was OK. He gave me exact same not-high, but not-terrible score. We talked a little about what I need to do to be promoted and he wants me to 'be more proactive and take initiative to see a problem or opportunity and address it'. Uh, ok. So I tell him that I think we have most major things covered and I'd have to think hard about finding some new "path" and he goes: "Megan you're the Latin American contact for our team, there are SO MANY things we can do for that team - you have a real opportunity here to make an impact".
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, I still have nothing. I can't think of one single thing we can do. This would explain why he's a Manager, and I'm not.
*Sigh*
Maybe I should tell him that I need to travel to South America for a month to visit all the offices and get an idea for what they do ![]()

Re: **Jaay**
I'm glad your review went ok and I second the South America training
Right after I talked with you I had to go over my development plan (blargh) from last year and I think I said I was going to start my MBA this year. Well, that didn't exactly happen. I kind of had to explain that I pretty much don't know what I want to do with my life (stillI) and I redid my development plan for this year and removed all career girls.
I'm FULL of career drive. I tell ya.
