Saturday I got a raging headache, my face was super flushed, and I felt all around like sh!t. Nausea was way worse, etc. So I figured I would check my BP (usually 100/60ish). It was 135/86 so not ridiculously high but high for me. I went home and relaxed and checked again in 3 hours-- 147/84--still, not freakishly high but above my baseline for sure and the headache was INSANE (I haven't had any migraines this pregnancy...they always seem to clear up when I am pregnant).
The BP thing was under control yesterday I think but the headache was still there and phenergan wasn't even touching the nausea. By last night I couldn't even lay down because it hurt to touch my head to anything. It was throbbing to the point of getting sick (although getting sick is pretty standard so that wasn't a concern).
I don't want to call because they just had me in on Thursday for IV fluids and a growth u/s but I really don't want to have to drive back to Omaha and sit at my desk with flourescent lights all day tomorrow if this headache sticks around.
It can't be BP related if my BP isn't that high right? I would assume just a ridiculous migraine?
Re: diagnose me :)
I am usually in the lower blood pressure range like you-when mine would spike at all...didn't matter the #, my doc checked for spilling protein. Maybe it is a 4th pregnancy thing-I only had this issue with Theo's pregnancy.
I would call! They may just want you to come in to check pressure and pee in a cup.
It is worth it for your heath and Jude's!
Were you watching the Husker FB game when this started? B/c I know what that did to my BP.
J/K.
In all seriousness, call your dr. You know you should. And yes, they get paid to take care of you and baby J!
A coworker of mine was induced for pre-e because her BP spiked, but was still well within the range of "normal." And like you said - YOU are paying THEM for a service. Call!
